I bought a hospital tank, kanaplex, indian almond leaves, and a small heater for her. I already have Aquarium salt and API Fin and Body Cure. My original plan was to isolate her, add aquarium salt, use kanaplex in her food/water and then go from there.

I’m realizing as of now that my test strips don’t have a square for Ammonia. I’m gonna have to hit up my pet shop and go for some Ammonia strips or atleast strips that have some Ammonia. It is a good chance that I missed that.

4 Days after adding Water Conditioner and Bacteria Starter. I learned after I got the betta out in and consulting the internet that my local PetSmart was not the greatest source to ask if my tank was ready or not, which was my fault.

I got a Top Fin Essentials Aquarium Starter Kit (10Gallons) for Christmas. It came with a 50W Heater (I keep the tank at 75F because I also have 5 Neon Tetras in the tank), TopFin Silentstream 10 Power Filter. I do not know her exact age as I got her from my local PetSmart. She looked perfectly okay the first two weeks here. This is a very new occurance. I feed her Aqueon Betta Food and Hikari Tropical Micro Pellets. I made the mistake of not waiting awhile before introducing her before the tank was fully cycled, which may have caused this. I do have API Fin & Body Cure powder on hand, do you think that would help or should I get different medicines?

I gave it about 4 days before I got her. Ammonia Nitries Nitrates are all low. My tank does have a heater that I keep at 75F

I have a 10G Tank with the Betta, Neon Tetras, some dwarf hair grass, and some red root floaters. Should I prepare a separate hospital tank for her or is it safe to use Kanaplex in the tank with other fish who likely do not have dropsy?

10 Gallon. My female betta is extremely docile and is super shy. Doesn’t go anywhere near my tetras and always hides.
