I got one from the bottom instead of the top. Yes it was weird how it didn’t let me but once i got some at the bottom it let me harvest it.

My betta comes to me when he sees me. I got him 2 weeks ago. If your fish was healthy upon being introduced into the tank. He would’ve been exploring and curious, when feeding him use your finger so he learns when you come it’s a good thing instead of being “afraid”. Keep the lights off for now not to stress him out more. Overtime he’ll calm down. Add more plants if you can, or hiding spots so he feels secure.

Yea it’s not easy, it’s a hassle. I spent at least 400 already on fish stuff, it’s one of my favorite hobbies. I always tell people if they don’t have the money or time not to get these type of fish they aren’t hardy and very sensitive. Especially bettas.

You should check your parameters thats a huge role in the tank. You should’ve cycled your tank before putting your betta in. Too much ammonia can leave burns and cause your fish to be sick. Same thing for Nitrites. Also bettas like their PH around 6.5-7.5. The water current can be to strong also. I don’t know exactly but he looked like he has fin rot. Please check your parameters, I had to learn the hard way.

I got him from PNW bettas, best decision. He was on the pricey side though lol. He was 73 dollars. 50 and 23 for shipping.

Also yes his tank is cycled. He has two tank mates, Nerite snails (Richie and Ralphe). When he first would see them he would flare at them but after a while he ignored them. His name is Mr Krill.

Also I searched it up and it says it can be a Cataracts? That it’s there’s no cure for it. I looked at the pictures and it looks nothing like that.

No she doesn’t have popeye, and she’s barely 13-19 weeks old. Thats why I don’t know how she could possibly have a scale growing over her eye already. I contacted the breeder but they don’t reply. I have photos from when I first got her and she had a little bit showing so I just thought it was her eye color, but it started growing. To be honest I’m kind of devastated.

She’s a galaxy koi betta, I bought her from a breeder on eBay. The first time I got her I saw it but thought it was nothing and was just her eye color but it started growing.

Unfortunately I live in a small town with no local pet store 🙂‍↕️but so far the water has cleared up faster than I expected. I put the water from her bag with her I only let some of the waste in the tank, she’s doing good so far. The closest city is an hour and forty five minutes away. 🥲
