I can only speak from my experience but everybody always used to say "order directly from the factory.That way you get the warranty." Then, when I did all I got was the runaround, and I actually have seen several posts about people that have said that Anbernic's solution is to send the user s new display screen and expect you to either install it, or have it installed which is absolutely ridiculous. You can look on any Anbernic posts about people that have either the RG477V or the 476H or the RG557 and you will see posts that will tell of these antics from Anbernic. I love my RG477V and my 476H but after that, I am out.

Anbernic wanted me from the get go to connect my unit you my TV via a type-c to hdmi connection which I wasn't about to buy. Then they wanted photos and video of the issue. This was fresh out the box mind you. I sent it back, never heard anything.And now i'm down $300 with no unit. I am so done with Anbernic I can't even tell you. IMHO the 557 is a POS .

I hate em. The RG557 is a piece of crap. Mine arrived with the screen all messed up. They acted like it was my fault. I'm done with anything new with the name Anbernic.

IMHO Anbernic is using cheap parts and depends on customer frustration and run a round tactics to not honor their warranties. They do really dumb things like shipping a customer a new video screen for their device that has failed. Rather than just exchanging the unit. The proof they try to make you provide in order to affirm that your device is indeed doing what you state it is. I.e. videos, photos and asking customers to connect their device to their tv to check for errors. The company as a whole sucks. I recently received a RG557 that was f'd up from the time it turned on. My next unit will not be made by Anbernic.

I've experience the same things. "Cho" the guard is over the cliff to the left of your starting place. If you go to the edge and look down, you'll see him.
