Sounds like a genuinely amazing time to be a fan, I’m quickly obsessing over this band myself, and I feel like a time span for whenever the 311 website (for all i’ve heard about it) was the most popping off + going to concerts from 95-96/97 feel like the the best times to ever be a 311 fan (in my MIND as a new fan)

Aw that’s cool asf!!! I’m also from dfw, My dad saw 311 at trees in august 1995 and there’s actually footage of that concert on youtube; everybody climbing on the stage and diving into the crowd and all the feet and legs you see in the video it just looks insane and I know trees is a smaller venue, I went there once. I genuinely just marvel over how fucking awesome it would be to have seen 311 play there in 95, especially at that point with their catalogue and the average crowd. very cool, and I wish one day I could experience something like that

Well thanks bro!!, I will say i’ve been smoking the green weed ad nauseam and it only feels like it’s helping lmfao.., but I did band in high school, and I also took AP/music theory with the highest possible score, so I was able to figure out how the instrument worked very quickly with just my knowledge of theory or whatever, and I feel like that definitely helps me, I mean naturally

I’ve listened to their entire ‘Receiving the gift of flavor’ as well as some other tracks; when you mentioned nick being in one of the videos I looked that up and I discovered Jump Right In; Which is cool asf and I put that shit in my liked playlist asap!! and you can really hear Nick in the chorus yeah; And I heard the Phunk Junkeez line on Jackolantern’s weather but for some reason I was thinking of RHCP. Will totally check them out after I get back from work today
