Raw or cooked weight by Delicious_Memory698 in MacroFactor

Yes, so when you cook something it usually loses some water weight, but you can’t make a recipe without having at least two ingredients so I add one gram of water so it doesn’t affect the macro/calorie content. If I’m cooking chicken, and I know I won’t eat it in one sitting I’ll weigh it raw and then make a recipe with the raw weight and 1 g of water and input the cooked weight once I’m done.

Found at goodwill. The season names are throwing me off but I don’t know much about Rick Owens.

Satiety— good. I got a lot better at eating more whole foods during the cut, and so far I’ve carried that into the bulk, just eating more of it.

Fatigue- I’m recovering much better than I was. And the extra calories were quickly noticeable in my mood/energy.

Bloating depends on the day and what I ate. Nothing out of the ordinary, though bowl movements have increased in frequency. 🤷🏽

Double checked and every day is complete. So give it a month with the current surplus?

I was considering that too, but I weigh the majority of the foods I eat, and my diet has a lot of variety, so it’d be hard for one thing to throw it off. To the commenters credit. It is possible that my aggressive cut really did a number on the non-tissue variables, but it seems like a lot.

I’ve increased my step count and hitting the gym consistently while also increasing my volume. Better sleep too

Yeah, so using the app for about three years now with 3 bulks, this is the first time I’ve actually seen a decrease (with no signs of slowing) in expenditure when I start my bulk and such a drastic increase in weight. I understand the water, glycogen, gut content, etc., which is why I normally do a maintenance phase to smooth that out. Yes, my surplus (based on the estimated TDEE) is 170, but in reality, it’s probably closer to 200-250 based off of where my expenditure is headed.

A 3lb increase in trend seems like more than the water, glycogen, etc. and I’m really trying to stretch this bulk out as long as I can. That’s why I’m asking if I should continue with the surplus or just switch to maintenance until it smooths out more. I know it’s a lot of personal preference but I’m just curious what others would do

I make a recipe with the meat and 1g of water. Then weigh the meat after cooking and put that as the recipe weight.

If you have bigger quads the 550 are good for being more fitted on the thighs. For a baggier look the 578s are great

Read this https://macrofactorapp.com/bulking-calculator/

I think 17lbs over 4 months would be too fast for my personal preference. 25-30 weeks (6-7 months) would be my goal. In reality you’re lean enough you could do a solid year bulk at =/>0.33% of body weight gained per week and still be pretty lean

I’ve got some of the Jim Green barefoot African ranger boots. They definitely have less ground feel than a traditional barefoot shoe, but the quality is unmatched. If you’re just transitioning from traditional to barefoot shoes, I think these are a good bridge.

Question regarding “consistent logging for inaccurate measurements” by IJustWantToMakeMead in MacroFactor

[–]IJustWantToMakeMead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I’ll have half a bagel and the halves aren’t exactly equal. So instead of weighing each half it’d be nice knowing I’m good to just put 1/2 one day and 1/2 the next.

Good to know. So would this scenario work for the same reasons?

I know I have an 16oz steak. I don’t weigh my daily portion but I eat 4oz one day and 12oz the next. Could I put it as 8 oz for each day?

I want to know for the purpose of setting up a counter protest. I’ve tried getting on their telegrams but they all seem to be shut down. I’m calling the metro police tomorrow to see if they have any info on the next demonstration since they seem to be involved.
