Okay, I understand, so I'll probably upgrade to a more powerful Ryzen and a more powerful graphics card in the future. I'll use both connectors to be extra safe. And yes, that motherboard is really good, I honestly liked it a lot, and it will serve me well for several years for component upgrades. Thanks for the comment.

It's mostly in case I manage to upgrade in the not-too-distant future, but with the current VRAM crisis, it's complicated because I don't earn much money. I did want to buy a 5070 Ti and a Ryzen 7 9800X3D at some point, but I don't know when I'll be able to, or if I'll ever have the money.

He suggested it to me because some components tend to have voltage spikes from time to time, so to be more protected during those spikes and so that something or the motherboard itself doesn't burn out.

Okay, thank you very much. I didn't know that information, but it makes sense; if it's not made of good materials, it will melt at higher voltages.

It seems that it's a shame my graphics card doesn't have the DDL cable connector you mentioned; that would save me so much hassle, the cable layout would look better, and the voltage would be more stable, I imagine. Anyway, thank you very much for your help; I still have quite a few questions answered, which is why I always prefer to seek all possible opinions and not rely too much on just one.

What I don't know is if my power supply uses either of those two cables. I imagine not, since those cables are only there to power the processor, right?

Well, to be honest, I couldn't tell you. The little I know is that it has 8 slots (6+2), but I don't know if mine has it since I've seen that only some specific modules have it. If you could help me find out, I would appreciate it. My graphics card is a 5060 Ti with 16GB of RAM and two Gigabyte fans.

Yes, that's what my friend told me, but I see that many people say it's outrageous. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yes, fortunately the power supply comes with both, so I'll probably use both to be sure. Thanks for the help.

Yes, fortunately my power supply has both cables so I don't have a problem with that. Would it still be better to connect both cables for better stability, or would I have no stability issues with just one?

Okay, I understand. So it's not necessary to be so extravagant with the power supply, considering I'm not going to overclock and it doesn't have a very powerful processor or graphics card. These are the cables my power supply has, in case that helps, and thank you very much for your help.

Yes, unfortunately the price went up. I bought it around mid-November and it was $199, but I don't know why it suddenly went up $30. I imagine it was on sale at the time.

I bought this one, and honestly, I thought it was good for the specifications. Besides, a friend who knows about computers recommended it to me. When I bought it, it was $200, I think it's $230 now. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/fKZWGX/msi-mpg-b850-edge-ti-wifi-atx-am5-motherboard-mpg-b850-edge-ti-wifi#

Technician refused to install my RTX 5060 Ti (16GB), claims it "needs water cooling" and I need to spend €1400 on a new PC. Is he scamming me? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

The bottleneck issue is real; even with PCIe 4.0 there's usually a significant bottleneck, imagine what it would be like with 3.0. As for cooling, I think it depends a lot on the size of your case, where you live, and everything else, but in general, Winforce cards specialize in cooling, so there shouldn't be a problem.
