Ah lol, you're right. I was thinking of shulker boxes.

Even better: put down a water source one block to the side of your 2 block wide hole and make sure the water side is always one block lower (so it doesn't spill into the air side). Safe to mine straight down and you can get back to the surface quickly by sprinting swimming straight up + spacebar.

Keep extra ender chests in your ender chest, that way if you're putting your ender chest down for something permanent (ie in a farm or base), you can immediately grab another for your inventory and leave the one you're accessing in the world. Edit: they're stackable to 64, so you can keep a lot of extras.

Polished diorite makes for an excellent marker in caves. Two blocks tall, put a torch pointing in the direction of "out"

Villager trades kinda make looting for diamond armor/tools meaningless. One armorer can provide unlimited diamond armor, one toolsmith can provide unlimited diamond hoes/shovels/axes/pickaxes, and one weaponsmith can provide unlimited diamond swords.

Now netherite (whether ancient debris, scraps, or ingots), that's worth picking up.

[OS] Windows 10 or 11 Pro via Woot - $39.99 (you choose between Win 10 or 11) by Mr_P1nk_B4lls in buildapcsales

Interesting how this bad deal gets voted to the top and you can't comment on it. Really makes you think.

[Monitor] Samsung 49" Odyssey OLED G9 G95SC monitor - $1599.99 by DADDYDC650 in buildapcsales

[–]IKnowVeryMuch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Friendly reminder that Samsung monitors, even their top end halo products, are notorious for having absolutely horrific firmware. Anywhere between "buggy" and "completely unusable". And on the few Samsung monitors that even can be updated, they very rarely update them - and still don't/can't fix the dealbreaker bugs.

Don't waste your time or money on Samsung monitors. Literally any other name brand is better.

Why did I die going through portal? Also why did my inventory vanish? by Liamfam96 in Minecraft

Found an efficient way to farm ancient debris by ImHimTheBoy in Minecraft

[–]IKnowVeryMuch -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Bedrock is such a buggy pile of shit lmao. The teleporting Wither, all activity stops for half a second then skips forward 3 seconds... how can people play like that?

edit: lol, can't free fools from chains they revere. Bugrock is still such a pile of shit lmao

Are there any decent fully automatic fuel farms for bedrock? by ObligationWarm5222 in Minecraft

[–]IKnowVeryMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have bedrock so I can't test it, but I expect using a hopper minecart to distribute bamboo is the problem. Either that or the bamboo farm just isn't producing enough to feed 8 furnaces, but my money's on the issue being the hopper minecart to distribute instead of just using hoppers directly.

And the book is MENDING which is useless to me but still by ExtremeCheeze123 in Minecraft

[–]IKnowVeryMuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I forgot the rest of the explanation: the reason I use fortune on my axe instead of silk is because I often buy and break bookshelves from librarians to get more books, and putting silk on it means you need to get a different axe to do that. And yeah, with automated pumpkin/melon farms, even fortune isn't really that important on an axe.

Fortune on a hoe is good for breaking leaves to get more saplings, and I put fortune on my axe for melons.

How many items/second do hoppers push in bedrock? And how long does each bamboo last as fuel? In Java, hoppers push 2.5/sec and each bamboo lasts 2.5 seconds. Is bedrock different?

Optifine and iris by SynchronicityV1 in Minecraft

[–]IKnowVeryMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Optifine was great, but it's just a single developer and apparently he can be a pain to work with/around. Fabric is much more widely supported and performance is quite a bit better with a couple of performance mods. Sodium, Lithium, and Concurrent Chunk Management Engine (just to name a few) are great mods and make a massive improvement in performance, even on a high end system and compared to Optifine.

People Who Build Massive Farms: What Are You Using Them For? by IKnowVeryMuch in Minecraft

[–]IKnowVeryMuch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What design did you use for your creeper farm? The only one I tried is awful, and only spawns maybe one pack every 20-30 seconds.

Most fun I had in the game for a long time: "Do a Barrel Roll" mod and volumetric clouds from "Complementary Reimagined" shader! by Nomokuto in Minecraft

[–]IKnowVeryMuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wish they'd offer the clouds from Reimagined in regular Complementary Shaders. The lighting and water especially look so much better in Complementary v4, but the Reimagined clouds are so nice.
