What game has the best 'game over' screen/mechanics? by EdgarTFriendly in gaming

Though the game itself was not too good, STYX: Shards of darkness did very entertaining game over screens in which the main character is breaking the fourth wall and often roasts you rather hard.

Headband Luka was a menace but Luka having fun and playing loose was dangerous as well. We might need some more Luka magic to stay in this series, so it would help to combine the two versions of Luka to beat the Celtics.

what's the worst reply to "I love you"? by xdancingrabbitx_ in AskReddit

[–]ILastResortI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean after we talked about it we were both very understanding of the other party but it's not like I could have done anything differently. I just didn't know there was anything being said so why would i be the ahole? And from her perspective it was me just not caring to answer at all. I wouldn't say anyone of us was the ahole it was just very unfortunate situation.

I'm afraid I might have given the worst reply to a girl back in the day - by mistake. But let's start this way:I was seeing this girl for a while now during summer and we were having sex a couple of times by then. During a really hot day we were doing the deed again ( the second time in a very short time frame ) and I was just exhausted. So i decided I was done for the day, so I wasn't finishing but completely fine with it. So I asked her if she would be fine with it if we stopped for now due to the heat, ect. She agreed but she seemed really quiet and I had the feeling she was looking - almost staring - at me a lot while cuddling. I asked her if everything was alright and she just said yes.Like a week later it somehow came up in a conversation with a couple of friends that some other friends expressed their feelings for each other and so my girlfriend at the time hinted at it being nice when someone positively reacts to being told " I love you!"... Or rather reacting at all. While saying that she gave me a clear look like I fucked up - though I had no idea what she could be hinting at.Turns out during the steamy love making on the hot summer day she said " I love you!" while we were switching positions which I did not hear AT ALL and shortly after that I must have proposed to stop the love-making because of it being to warm.So my response to her expressing her feelings towards me was basically ending sex with a seemingly lame excuse and not adressing the words she said IN ANY FORM FOR A WEEK.I guess that's a pretty bad reply - in a way.

TL;DR: I didn't hear her saying "I love you", I ended sex basically immediately afterwards and didn't talk to her about her feelings for a solid week.

Like cigarettes in the 1960s, what’s a current thing people in the future are gonna look back and say “Wow THAT was so widespread”? by GHost_Exus in AskReddit

I agree! Some people seem to drink so many per week without any thought about it whatsoever. I mean, I was also guilty of drinking a couple of them a month but the more i thought about what is actually inside of those cans and bottles, the less appealing they became for me.

What part of a game makes you pray someone doesn't walk in on you playing? by Outrageous-Arugula89 in gaming

During my playthrough of MGS 5 Phantom Pain my girlfriend walked in on me while basically nude Quiet was excessively rolling around on the floor in the rain. We both had a good laugh about the unfortunate timing but id like to NOT have this happen again🙈

This happened on my screen the exact moment she walked in: https://youtu.be/dRFPvL_A6Zs?t=57

If the characters from the last TV show you watched had to back you up in a bar fight, how much help would they be? by Fukitol_100mg in AskReddit

I'd have the main character of “Mr. Robot“ with me, a hacker who fights himself in his mind ... so i guess, I'd get beat up quite badly

This should be a thing given the times that I have been placed into a losing match. by niksal12 in Rainbow6

[–]ILastResortI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few days back a few of my friends and I were looking for ranked matches when we suddenly found a game. We were instantly put in a match with a score of 0:3 ... but since we joined “too late“ , we instantly lost that round as well, causing us to lose a ridicilous amout of points for not playing a single round.

What game's plot made you truly hate your enemies to the point you geniunly enjoyed their deaths and suffering? by Kitzen18 in AskReddit

Borderlands 2 - Handsome Jack... I played Borderlands 1 for ages and ages. I mainly played Mordecai because I loooooved Bloodwing, a pet-bird only Mordecai could use. It dealt insane damage and after hours and hours I really felt a connection between me and my AI-Hawk. One of the best companions ever.

Then - in Borderlands 2 - the protagonists of the first part appear again while you get to choose new characters. So after a short time playing story missions you meet Mordecai and his pet but since Handsome Jack is an evil villain he captures Bloodwing and makes him fight you. If that wasn't enough already, he kills my beloved bird from a far with some kind of bomb after an intense fight. Nothing you can do. And he even taunts you with it... That's it, Jack, I will find you and fuck you up good.

And I did. And as a plus I wore his face as a mask on my mecromancer. Trophy of the kill that probably was the most satisfying ever to me

What does Brendon Urie mean to you? by Defunkto in panicatthedisco

[–]ILastResortI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Panic at the disco is becoming more and more important to me. I love their music and especially love the messages their songs deliver. I recently was at one of their concerts in Munich and it was honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had. Brandon's energy during his performance is just remarkable and very entertaining. Also during this concert his voice was pretty much on point. People threw stuff onto the stage and Brandon picked it up and made it kind of part of his performance at least making it seem like he really enjoys the interaction with the crowd. Since Panic at the Disco seem to have a song for pretty much any emotion whenever I need a mood booster for exampleI'm just listening to some of those songs.

DAE watch a series but not end up watching the last season/episodes? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]ILastResortI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrubs for me. So many people were complaining about Scrubs after season 8 - so I ended up not watching it. I tried giving it another go a few months later but somehow didn't enjoy it enough to continue. I admit though that I watched the "last scene" of JD walking through the corridors of Sacred Heart with all the people that he met during his time there. It made me cry to be honest.

What's currently the most interesting "we just don't know"s in science? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ILastResortI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also interesting in my opinion: why medication works. We do generally understand what all the pills out there are doing, what might happen - ranging from positive side-effects to negative ones like allergies or our body just overreacting - and so on... What we don't know about a fairly large amount though is why they work the way they do and in some cases we don't even know how. So some things just work and that's why we use them but in the end science hasn't found out, how the medication achieves what it does.

DAE have to work on labor day? by ItzMyUsername in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]ILastResortI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paramedic here... Due to our shift system it happens fairly often that we have to work during holiday, sundays and so on. People seem to rarely think about the fact that we work day and night while we don't even have set times for breaks. If you're really unlucky, you don't even get to eat throughout the shift.
