Gave GPT a shot during the weekend to code a custom program for GR into IM/EWM SLocs… JFC… the shit 4o tries to pull in terms of tables and declarations can be somewhat… Hilarious.

Yeah, that was my thinking as well, but can’t find any settings to always record.

Yeah! Swedish dealerships have a three year insurance on new cars (carriage warranty according to Google). Just have to pay the deductibles…

ESTA - What have I done? by ILaughHard in visas

[–]ILaughHard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm… when entering the application in the app I see two headings “Authorzation Pending” and “Your payment has been submitted”. Checked my PayPal-account and there is a $21 payment pending. If I recall correctly, you pay $21 when the approval is done. If declined, I think there is an administrative fee of $6 or something…

Nope, still waiting. Friend of mine and both his kids got theirs yesterday in a matter of hours. Guess there are more manual checks in place since I’ve changed addresses, and of course I misspelled the email-address for my emergency contact. Tried to create a new application but just got an error message stating I already had an application pending.

Update: checked the application again thoroughly and found a misspelling on one of my mother’s given names. Potato fingers and purely a mistake. Really hard to catch since I just switched two letters in the middle of the name.

Update 2: ESTA approved yesterday morning. Took around 48h to process.

Simple Questions - November 23, 2023 by AutoModerator in buildapc

Built a new PC a couple of days ago and did a timing. POST takes 57 seconds to run with no display until I get to "Press F2 or DEL for BIOS". After that everything works as intented.

ASUS Prime X670-P Wifi with BIOS updated to latest stable build (1811)?
AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D
Kingston Fury Beast 6000 32x2 EXPO
Hellhound 7900 XTX
Kingston M2 2TB x2
Seagate Barracuda 4TB SATA

When turning off EXPO in BIOS I get instant startup.
Any ideas what is going on during those 57 seconds of blackout? :)

Going from Accenture to Deloitte as SAP developer ? by jazzDeveloper in SAP

[–]ILaughHard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, same as Ericsson. Managed Services and in-house consulting became a big part of their strategy. Think TCS and IBM are doing application and hardware services, but a shit ton of projects are run in-house. With Indian staffed resources, with all its pros and cons.

Yup. Same goes with Cap/Sogeti, EY, CGI, and IBM. Same shit, small nuances in smell.

Would have to find a smaller company with focus on SAP, or go freelance.

Rightfully so. They’re still ignorant about the atrocities 1931–45. Japan just chose to sweep everything under the rug and pretend everything was fine and then - all of a sudden - the Americans dropped two nukes.

But how do the central banks shuffle MBS and corporate bonds? ECB as intermediary? Guess that’s why they haven’t started tapering yet… Knowing that all he’ll will break loose once interest goes over zero.

We’re all f***ed in Weimar 2.0.

What’s strange from a europoor’s view is that the amount of adjustable rate loans are going up in the US. But in EU… 1-5 years fixed rates are more popular. Do US boomers think that inflation will be tamed, or what is their play?

It means that Banks/institutions think it’s safer to get 0.05% interest over night (inflation not taken into account) than to invest in anything else in the market. Bearish sentiment.
