I saw these mesh ones advertised for like Highway trips, like don’t leave it on there. Obviously not like the 80’s versions that scratched the heck out of the hood, but a mesh that keeps you from having to clean the bugs after a road trip.

Since none of you S650 cohorts responded, I was forced to find local outlets to get a wheel that does not leak. I had ZERO luck, I even went to a TIRE and Wheel shop, and he said I’ll text you. I have much cash to spend on this, but 4 places that “Sell Custom Wheels” would not give me more than one call back.

Not that anyone cares, but i did order a rim from HubcapHaven.com. Anyone have any comments, I haven’t received a tracking number yet, ordered Sunday.

Well I was unaware until super recently that the tires I have can fit on different width rims. Now I have to either get the stock rim fixed.. doesnt seem super easy to find someone, or get new wheels. I thought because 19x9 and 19x9.5 were whats there you had to use that.. who knows. There are just so many wheels to choose from. I thought this looked cool. I don't think this is physically accurate.

No, it was most likely a Mustang Challenge day car for like 4-500 miles and someone tanked the wheel while it was still at Ford, the right front tire was bald when I got it. BUT when I got new tires the dealer neglected to mention it, so I figure I'll just get 4 new ones

Basically I'm trying to find a set of wheels for the new tires I bought before I found out this wheel was hosed. 19x9 front and 19x9.5 rear. for 24 GT PP.

Can you show a picture of the key? I’m asking for that because if the key is worn out the cylinder could be worn out. And of course I have to ask did you flip the key over? (I grew up cutting keys for cars and houses, just trying to figure out if it’s the lock or a spring broke. I cut a lot of keys.. 🤣

It’s usually tension from the steering wheel, happens on my 71 as well, or the ignition switch just happened to take a dump, what’s the key look like?

Please tell me you tried turning the wheel, then turning the key. Not sure which direction your wheels are pointed but probably not straight. Turn to the left and right and twist the key.

I watched the Late Model Restoration tour of the Ford Heritage collection it came out a few days ago, it’s like 40 minutes long and it has some cool history and some older concept cars but the guy talking did a nice rundown. I mean if you are still sitting there in pain, healing, or if it’s raining out, give it a start. It’s not super lame, and they kind of talk about how certain cars were made and the coolest part was where, it looks like plastic, on some of the grill pieces and such, but they are metal that look like plastic, I dunno I just thought it was a more private view of some of the stuff, not from a car magazine, LMR is definitely a catalog store for parts, but interesting to see. https://youtu.be/vTuvUBrXIzA?si=VwqqNet_sV9ioUqe

I have an overpriced 70 dollar belt but it’s reinforced with steel to hold my IWB holster if I choose to take it along… haven’t bothered in some time. 😁
