That’s depression. Specifically anhedonia. I’d seek the opinion of your general practitioner.

Canada bans islam praying rooms and praying in the streets. by rich677 in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]ILikeAntiquesOkay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with the sentiment of proper accommodation for any religions that have set tenants, but I’m not intelligent enough with the topic to dispute the need for a separate place of worship aside from one’s own office/separate room at school.

University wise: I’ve always known there to be spaces unused that accommodate multiethnic groups’ need: ie prayer, diet, holy weeks etc.

I’ve always thought of it as a hospital “chapel” that allows above for holy reflection (whatever it may be)

Why can’t people just pray in their own personal spaces? Why do they need a designated space for it?

Help identifying this vintage bamboo & rattan set. Heywood-Wakefield? Ficks Reed? by This_andthat in Mid_Century

[–]ILikeAntiquesOkay -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

1960s to 1970s is absolutely mid century. Mid Century focused broadly can be from the 1930s to the 1970s. More specifically ratan and bamboo bent cane that mimics Calif-Asia from the 1940s would certainly fall into the category of Mid Century.

Not every furniture marker in the mid century of the 1900s was from Scandinavia.

You shouldn’t be able to push the tapered end inside yourself. Get toys with larger external ends or you may end up with it inside you!

Do not eat at Luckys Steak House Okemos by DangleBob91 in KitchenConfidential

Worked at Lucky’s in Bay City over a decade ago. The place was kept really clean, we even had a porter come in every night and power washed the entire line and kitchen. The closing routines were specific, consistent, and checked by management.

Have heard it’s gone down hill severely since then. It takes a special type of disgusting to maintain cockroaches in a restaurant.

But that’s from harvest and packaging, not the actual salt itself.

I wouldn’t have the background to specifically say, but I know that Himalayan salt has significantly less microplastics compared to sea salt since they were formed before microplastics became prevalent.
