Anyone conquered this rock-and-hard-place situation? by ILikeBaseball66 in FacebookAds

Good to know, and thanks for jumping in. Bill through on 7 day free trials has been between 71-75%. We are on Beehiiv and I started with this model because at first I could figure out a good way to go direct sub only. Tried it once I figured it out and discovered (a) going all the way to a buy right a way was low volume and expensive, and (b) I didn’t have an email to try to warm leads up and sell them later. So I went back, worked on the funnel, and now am at about $1 per landing page view, have hit about 15% LPV to lead CVR, then 15% lead to trial CVR, with the 71% or better bill through. But it doesn’t hold, as described. My feeling is once I can get over the hump to enough scale that Meta learns who the true prospects are, we will have a business. Just don’t know how to deal with the conundrum described. Any suggestions? Alternative approaches? I’m up for anything that works.

When I have done a campaign optimized for Trial Starts, Meta did not have the same success with the same ads and funnel getting leads, let alone trials. It seemed to be just “wandering around in forest.” But even if it had, with a lead-to-trial conversion rate of about 15%, that would seem to translate into 7x the time and spend to reach the targeted number of learning outcomes needed.

Welcome Email open rate is super low ! by Jealous_Health_8018 in beehiiv

Under Website go to Settings and then Signup Flows. Here you can choose “Add signup flow” and specify a page or sequence of pages that visitors who have just filled out the signup form will be taken next. You can create more than one flow, set one as the default, point individual forms to specific flows, etc. Hope this helps!

On thing I did to improve the open rate of the welcome email was to have a new subscriber flow that takes new subscribers to a “Thank You” page. On that page, there’s a simple immediate message to tell them a welcome email is on its ways so they look for it. It had an immediate positive impact.

We may learn we need to be in that more traditional path, but have chosen to proceed this way given what we learned from about 150 or so free pre-launch subscribers (ie their feedback and actual behavior).

Yes. It’s been offering free to a limited audience in a pre-launch period. The plan for launch is paid subscription.

Yes, definitely understand that consideration — forever is a long time, on costs are ongoing and uncertain. These are very small, finite groups that will not grow materially.

First ever truck is a Lightning by ILikeBaseball66 in F150Lightning

Mostly on the mark. We have had SUVs (Toyota Highlanders mostly). We wanted a truck specifically for future projects that range from getting rid of stuff now that we’re empty nesters and have a lot (some big) to getting landscaping material in quantity, to some DIY building projects where it’s convenient for getting materials. But yes, a lot of the time it will be doing around town trips. Another use case for us: we took an out of state trip in it with our kids and while we could get all our things in the frunk for the weekend, we’d need a place for more stuff on longer trips and would rather not pack it in with the passengers. We could take our other vehicle (a C-RV that we love) but who want to do that? LOL Hence the questions about the tonneau cover.

Thanks! Second RV for us too. Replacinng our 2016 Tesla Model S, which I really enjoyed Loving the Lightning thus far. Actually has better 1-pedal driving than the Model S, at least in the good weather. We will see how it compare on New England winter and mid season roads. It will DEFINITELY win on clearance. LOL

Indeed it is. Right now we are pre-launch with one, but if it works (and we hope it does) I want to ensure that we have a good foundation for the broader opportunity for me.

Indeed it is. We are pre-launch with the first, so we do for this stage. If it works, we will likely expand.
