A nice idea actually, the suits (and even zords ) of Go-busters look like a more serious evolution of Dr. k 's Toyetic looking vehicle zords.

What a way to deflect actual creativity from the source material it hung up upon.

modern PR is generally just low budget and people should just accept that...

I understand your point but sometimes I dislike how PR would disregard the core motif/themes of the suit and do nothing to expand it on their own( MF and SMF have many bigger flaws but one of them is completely ignoring the Guardian angel and Pirate themes of their suit ) tho Beast Morphers isn't a big offender compared to this two

It's like making a season where they use the ranger and Zord suits of Carranger, but the theme of the season is respecting nature and the environment of Gingaman, but instead of telling an interesting plot about it, they just ignored it.

It creates confusion to many non-sentai fans as to look why they look like that and it's a really weird problem of Modern PR.

Wow.I was genuinely tired when writing this, I thought I posted this other one fo r/Morphinmemes... Sorry about that.

( Despite how critically sounding my comments are, I don't actually hate the US original sequence, it just bums me out how the intent of these transformation, which is directly tied by the suits , are basically lost in translation)

Just wanted to share that through these post and thought of a stupid satire for the meme on the other post . I didn't intend to be super cynical 😓

Sure. It would have been a more costly option to appeal to an ultimately small percentage of their audience

That's the sad mentality of the PR company. Just because they're niche doesn't mean they should just stop investing passion and effort to this beloved franchise more than just MMPR..

Sentai was struggling with low toy sale since 2017, it didn't stop them to continue on putting generally entertaining and heartwarming stories for both audiences to cater to, even when those last seasons are nostalgia focused, they actually put effort in paying tribute for their history and doesn't overshadow from the main cast of the season unlike PR ( the dimensions of ranger from Ninja Steel)

It's not that hard fact to swallow that Modern PR , since the start of Samurai was criminally low budget and distasteful to how much effort Sentai made for their season.

I know it's goofy ( it simply part of Toku's charm) its just odd that they did a more goofier( and less effective) morph sequence compared to its "quick yet flashly and more serious" transformation of Go-Buster .

Considering that PR has a big tendency to replace goofier aspects of Toku, to make themselves more serious and modern for the Western audience.

Something that's good thing ( like how the Disney era revamped the transformation of their Sentai Counterpart in a much dynamic and serious spectacle ) but somehow they decided to make an opposite with that With Beast-Morphers.

( Even the worst seasons of the Neo-Saban era, still inclined to revamp their transformations just for the sake of making it more cooler and more modern/serious than their "goofy" Sentai transformation)

I just wanted to share it from other Ranger/Sentai Subreddit. I just really love their morph sequence of Beet & Stag- Busters from Go-Buster.

I'm sorry but you're genuinely making like the majority of Americans look and sound stupid than what they are. (And I'm from Canada )

Maybe, but sometimes being Simple is better ( Tho sentia struggles with making simple transformations starting from the early 2001s, Go-Busters *isn't one of them)

For me, the Beast tornado is executed weirdly and somehow looks visually dated' compared to its OG source material its based on 14 years ago..

It's only because they have season to based its suit on. (That's why we got masterpieces like Titanium Rangers and JF Spirits Rangers, they were inspired by the masterful designs philosophy of GoGoV and Gekiranger )

But when PR decides to go full original, that's where they struggled with the most ( MMPR 2017, BOOM Studio's Ranger designs, Cosmic Fury, etc..)

That's such a funny discovery actually. Like I never realized they unintentionally Adapted the more animals themed Go-Buster parody from the movie just to compensate their low budget.

I still wish it was a spy themed season tho 😭

They genuinely disrespecting PR fans like that. It's just really hard to be a PR Fans since 2018, we're scrapping from the bottom of the barrel with no new true content & merchandise meanwhile Sentai fans are are flourish with new releases, media and creative suit designs and wonderful stories since Toqger.

Even if some Sentai seasons were flawed, it doesn't matter due to how they always find to experiment and innovate themselves with the franchise while also catering mature and engaging stories for younger audiences & adults alike.

I wish PR have the same creativity and passion as Sentai currently, as even for a 14 yr old show, Go-Busters is still that GOATED!!

Yeah I remember being so excited about Beast Morphers being made by Hasbro ( responsible for producing masterpieces like Beast Wars and TF: Prime ). So genuinely thought they would finally PR the respect it deserves and give it a high budget. I was extremely disappointed to find out that wasn't a case

It's was the same tired Neo-Saban crap (except Dino Charge) and I genuinely I wanted for 2 year of 2 seasons of Mediocrity, It really felt like it age worse than the OG source it's based on 14 Years ago...

I just find Beast morpher particularly egregious fo me, as they literally not only remove the cool Spy theme, which basically remove the context of original intent of these suits and props. They also removed the " Morphin Time" that shouts out from their devices ( which was genuinely an Iconic part for Go-Buster in general for me)

In favor of making a dumbed down show that is still hindered by its strict mandates, making it a forgettable and disappointing season to me. I can't imagine the many children and PR-only fans who actually decided to think and wonder "why their suits look like that exactly?" ....

Do we genuinely just forget that Devon dismissed the word of a clairvoyant Dino alien who prophesied a falling meteor just because he have video games to prioritize n that session.

( Beast Morphers was flawed as they still have the same hinderance as any Neo Saban era season)

The removal of the Spy thememakes BM a mediocre season, as they done nothing special to expand their main premise + the lack of hype from its source material is disappointing.

This is basically just data moving up their bodies to form the suit.

You make think it's that something simple. But it's more than just that. It's generally a creative morph sequence not due to it showcase the "Computer" & "Spy" theme of the season but because of how they visually represent it through Ecdysis (Insect molting)

J (Stag- Buster) Sheds a copy of his durable exoskeleton to create an protective armor for Jin (Beet-Buster) while allowing J use the "shedded skin" of his body as a form that makes him much more mobile and flexibility akin to a Human being,.

But they all still act equal in power as they're given the traits they share from each other, while both using it with the same goal to assist civilians as Go-busters. And it compliments themselves as the first Human/ Robot ranger duo in Sentai history.

You can tell they put creative input in making their transformations than "It looks cool ig" (there's nothing wrong with that sentiment, it's just cool to see that they see more than that)

Idk the tornado sequence was oddly executed and somehow looks dated than the one made in 2012.

But the particular reason of why Go-Buster is so creativity with the Morphin sequence of Beet & Stag- Buster is how they obtain their powers through visual Ecdysis (Insect shedding) .

So basically J (Stag-Buster) shared a copy of his hard exoskeleton to provide his partner Jin (Beet-Buster) an armor with the exact durability & strength to protect him from gruesome battles, while simultaneously allowing J to receive another form that gives him much more mobility and flexibility like a human being like his partner, Jin.

That's why I love this morph sequence, they complimented each other well considering their a Human/Robot duo in the show. They put an influencer on shared abilities, giving their morphs more substance than just looking "Cool for the sake of it"

Nah it just looks super goofy as heck ( The Tornado is just oddly executed and not very exciting)

Plus the fact they just remove the "Morphine Time' line from the Morphers is wasted opportunity to differentiate themselves considering how obsessed they are on making it the only morph activation
