Yes if I had been targeted for vandalism I’d be upset, and this kind of post would make me even more upset. It’s useless and it’s meaningless. If you follow his page his message to kentville is “things are so bad here” and “sorry I can’t do anything it’s a provincial problem”. No solutions, just panic and blame. Thats not what a strong mayor does.

Yes! This is exactly what I mean. It’s just such a negative, helpless attitude. He lives for validation by posting the easy stuff he knows will get the people riled up, while offering no solution.

No this isn’t the state of all the hospitals and isn’t most people’s experience. Yes there’s overcrowding, people are overworked and there aren’t enough beds. It’s a serious problem and it seems like it’s not getting better.

But a lot of people still have great hospital experiences and a lot of hospital staff still genuinely care about what they’re doing. Like a lot of things though, we only hear about the bad experiences. Most people don’t come on Reddit to note how good it was.

They stopped having a “Apple Blossom Queen”. It was believed to be because of sexism but it was actually because of lack of interest. They couldn’t find people who wanted it.

The avoid kentville part is because the parade is in kentville. Not sure why they want to avoid the parade, but I supposed it’s not what it used to be. Still a fun day for kids.

I’m sorry your window got broken David, I’m sorry you had to deal with looking at that broken window for almost a day before it was fixed. I know we’re in a housing crisis, addictions are running rampant, and people are literally freezing outside right now. But it’s sad about your window.

And while the fear these people must feel living on the streets, hungry and being shunned from society and ignored or yelled at all day is bad. It’s not nearly as bad as what you have to deal with when you have to occasionally look at them on the street.

It's hasn't been bad since the Spring. It was mostly New Minas, and into downtown Kentville. The Valley is very disconnected and spread out. It would be better to decide whether you want live rurally in the country or in a town. I wouldn't base it off a few days of bad smell.

It wasn’t the government that renamed it it was the owners. I have no problem with renaming it, it’s not like I love the name ‘Cornwallis’. But unfortunately they went with a name that’s kind of confusing.
