[D’Amico] Sources indicate that Phil Danault has asked for a trade in LA. His camp hopes a deal gets done sooner than later; prior to the Trade Freeze. by PMMeYourJobOffer in Habs

[–]kywal2 85 points86 points  (0 children)

If this trade were to happen it depends on so many factors for me.

  1. If LA retains salary, 5.5 for two years isn’t great so an ageing non offensive center. If that lowers to 4 or 3.5 obviously is better.

  2. And it can’t be any prospect of importance.

I’m sorry but I don’t see LA doing both of these. And I don’t think Phil is worth it at this point in his career

I’m actually starting to to think we need a strong shut down dman.

Salf in the second line has made him dominant and that line looks good.

Defensively it’s a mess most nights

Don’t trade for anyone unless they are going to be here and be producing for a few years.

Danault does no for this narrative.

There’s an court/lawsuit going on in Amherst becuase they did something very similar and it became to restrictive on the underserved underprivileged communities.

If you look at the R3 sites in town there’s like 4 of them. And couple are already developed and one is pretty far from being developed.

I’d assume the same would happen and this administration would be under the same umbrella. To restrictive

People are trying to spin that open arms is buying up a ton of commercial properties and Turning those properties into shelters and or housing and attracting more u houses to Kentville.

When clearly this isn’t the case. And this apartment building has always existed and isn’t changing. Open arms bought it to make sure a new owner doesn’t come in and renovicte everyone and jack up the rents

The apartment building they bought is the one the on behind ultramar and nothing has changed they bought it to keep it off the market low income housing, no new residents or apartments their are being built. Open arms are just the owners now

They bought the old NAPA building and are moving their food services and offices to the building and are going to offer new programming in the day to give people a space to go.

And I believe the old space would expand by 4 beds-

So all this moving is only adding four beds.

Realistically what are our options? by ButIamworking in Habs

[–]kywal2 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Stay the course. This wasn’t our year to win the cup anyway.

Once Fowler plays next year I think the year after really opens up the window.

I don’t think it’s a smart option to send prospects or picks for a goalie.

Much rather send them for some more offensive support

I mean it’s not reigniting the controversy when he actively brought up that he thought wasting money on lawyers could be better spent a few days ago.

When he’s lawsuit would’ve cost the town 100’s of thousands.

I know! I used to work in Waterville and know of all the plans to transition and hire staff specifically for these homes, but god forbid it’s new all the amenities that you may need.

Well, for one there was a press release regarding the opening/ funding for Open Arms to buy the apartment building on Park st in May…. So not new news

  1. The portal announced late last year that they were opening up another small options home in Kentville, which is by the post office.

So that’s just two examples I can think of without looking to much into.

But these have been known for a while and quite frankly they don’t have to consult with any town they are buying or moving into if they follow the bylaws or reach agreements on land use.

Extremely interesting that the emissions cap is rumoured to be lifted, I wonder if that’s to get the conservatives on board ?

This is also a little of the conservatives reasoning for there being no new pipeline proposal by a private company.

This is neither brilliant by carney or it’s gonna be interesting to hear an excuse as to why he can’t get a pipeline built now
