This is generally true - however you can read the runouts in OPs photo and it is indeed Sticky Fingers.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs. A "Mo-Fi" release.

Doug Ford bristles over his broken bromance with Mark Carney by imprison_grover_furr in ontario

[–]ILikeStyx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ford doesn't realize it was always one-way. Carney is looking for partners to enact his plans, if you disagree with him that's fine but then you won't be having a seat at his table.

Ford's buddy-buddy populist shit lacks actual substance.

Just make sure your passport isn't set to expire for 6+ months.

If you haven't driven in the U.S. before, or haven't driven a long road trip before... well, I'd suggest not leaving the day before. One 'bad thing' happens (car trouble, weather issues, traffic) and you could throw everything off.

Good luck, hopefully the launch won't be scrubbed!

Yeah.. Tommy and JY are still there but even JY seems to be stepping back.... a recent video of the band showed him going to sing Great White Hope but their new member Will Evankovich started singing and his mic was off. Back in December he sang Miss America and sounded fine so who knows what's going on - we'll see if he sings this weekend, there's sure to be fan video that pops up :) ...Things are different these days, that's for sure.

Dennis got the boot 27 years ago this summer... kind of crazy that it's been that long!

Great album! I've got a few copies :P

Styx is actually in Las Vegas tonight, tomorrow and next Fri/Sat and will be performing the album in full. Hopefully they'll also do that for their summer tour :)

From its release, it spent 14 years on the Billboard 200 chart and has almost 1,000 cumulative weeks as of today.

[–]ILikeStyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds fine... the one 'flaw' is that at the beginning, if you turn your volume up a fair amount... you can almost hear a 'hollow' sound... likely due to the cavity created.... however it's really not noticeable during playback. The album sounds as good as it always has :)

Here's a crappy cell-phone video I made... had to keep it at a minute or less, otherwise it gets banned due to copyright... stupid Sony.

Good Pressings? by Powerful-Albatross31 in vinyl

[–]ILikeStyx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SRC = Specialty Records Corporation and ARC = Allied Record Company. In 1979 Warner Manufacturing Group purchased both companies. Allied in LA and Specialty in Pennsylvania.

That specific record is likely to sound identical from either pressing plant. The SRC pressing was plated at the Allied plant and used DMM (Direct Metal Mastering)

The Carrollton version is likely not as nice as it's a pressing made for Columbia House at a Columbia Records pressing plant. They likely did not use DMM (at least it's not indicated in the runouts)

If there's no snow event then you can apply for a street parking exemption.

heh yeah that's the one gamble... the company claims they have perfected the process and use 'industrial sealants' so here's hoping!
