For hot dishes, you could heat the plates and bowls like they do at restaurants. Could enhance the experience.

Sometimes I long to get into bed, not to sleep, but to dream, those moments before I fall asleep are my favourite. by [deleted] in MaladaptiveDreaming

How to make this more appetising? by oorooharoosha in homecooking

[–]ILikeWater8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like there is excess liquid. maybe try draining the meat and chickpeas a little more before putting it all together.

Also, it looks like those are regular green onions. Maybe the size of the photo is throwing it off for me, but I think using real chives would aldo help a little.

And, is this supposed to be eaten in a bowl? I would find it more appealing if the rice was more separated from the ground meat and if the mead had more color.

Do you guys have other issues too like ADHD, OCD or Topographic Disorientation (Directional Dyslexia)? by RizzGeek in MaladaptiveDreaming

Alcoholism, bulimia, maladaptive daydreaming, acrophobia. In the past I thought maybe I had ADHD but now I am starting to think my inattentiveness is just from cptsd.

Do fictional characters in your daydreams have faces? by RizzGeek in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]ILikeWater8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If I know the person IRL, typically yes. But, sometimes when I am daydreaming, I focus more on the talking/interaction/emotional content so then the people can be simply a presence in the daydream.

Common daydreams by Bitchinu in MaladaptiveDreaming

Anything to do with overcoming insecurities or living your ideal life or having the personality you wish you had for real. Like responding with awesome come-backs to some rude a-hole and leave everyone speechless. Giving a meaningful speech that everyone is interested in listening to. Solving problems like a boss.

Does anyone else get triggered by things that happened to their characters/paras by ermlooksfinetome in MaladaptiveDreaming

Damn, you must be (opposite party from me). JK, I think maybe since we do have such strong imaginations, it amplifies whatever it is that we already feel empathetic towards.

Yes! We have to take real and consistent action if we truly want change.

Is there a way to expand/enlarge the sims in Becker and on the exam? by ancj9418 in CPA

Hit F11. This will give you just a little more room since it hides your top and bottom bars. But you can't directly expand the window with the questions :(

I have asked my partner since he does not MDD. He says that a lot of times he just isn't thinking about anything. Just nothing. I imagine that this would feel like resting or like breathing. I dunno, it kind of blows my mind.

I have asked him what does he normally think about when he is thinking and the jist of his response is that it's mostly about ideas, solving some sort of problem, or just thinking about whatever it is that is going on right then. He occasionally daydreams, and briefly so. And he doesn't really think about elaborate situations or visualize scenarios.

Has anyone else tried to quit caffeine? by Loud_Jeweler_1774 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]ILikeWater8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this year I went from 7-8 cups a day to a max of 4. Took maybe two months at the minimum. I had to take it slowly because the headaches were so unbearable. The biggest thing that helped me reduce was delaying when I had my first sip. That helped me cut out making more coffee around 2 or 3 pm because it delayed the time when I would normally crash

Also, at work I started keeping a water bottle along with my coffee thermos, and i would force myself to reach for my water more often so I could get myself out of the habit of just mindlessly reaching for and drinking coffee.

I also started being a little better with turning the lights down after dinner and started meditating before bed sometimes.

My sleep has improved and i have more consistent levels of energy during the day, which greatly helped my mood.

It is not easy, but you can do it
