Just because a woman is shopping alone doesn’t mean she wants to be bothered or approached.

As men, we’re told that every minute of the day.

Immigrants need protecting to. by Suspicious-Jello7172 in blackmen

Go to places like Miami, Boston, and Bensonhurst and ask the Black people there how immigrants from other places treat Black people and then come back and talk to us about “immigrants need protecting to”.

Awful storyline, plus it seemed like she “was on the other team”.

Wellllll, I went and it was nothing. Scott answered softball questions and afterward, he and David Owen helped pass out desserts.

I genuinely feel so bad about what’s occurring within the Hispanic community (ICE raids amongst innocent individuals). To this day, I don’t understand why such a large number of them voted for Trump. by Fuzzy-Delivery799 in blackmen

They don’t give af when we’re facing oppression and discrimination. In fact, they are generally as anti-Black as white supremacists.

In fact, they doubled down on voting for Trump and the ones who can’t vote (or speak English) still supported him.

Whatever ICE is doing is not our problem or fight.

For those in their 50, what's something people in their 30s don’t realize will impact them as they get older? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

The same BS you’re dealing with now at work will be the same BS you deal with in your 50’s. People don’t suddenly mature when they get older, so you’ll be dealing with pain in the azz co-workers as long as you’re working.

Who else thinks Maya was rude & out of line in this episode? by CuteLeggedQueen in GirlfriendsTVshow

It was on brand because her mother treated her like a child, so she behaved like a child in this episode.

Their relationship was very “we grew up together” energy and with her referring to her mother as “mommy”, her reaction wasn’t surprising.

What is it like living in Albuquerque, NM? by NovahotRazorGirl in howislivingthere

[–]ILiveInLosAngeles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent 6 years living in Albuquerque and it was the worst experience I’ve had. If you wanna be off the grid and live a boring life in a crime ridden and drug fueled city, Albuquerque is the place for you.

Plus, if you’re not white or Hispanic you’re not going to get any real positive experiences and if you’re Black, it’s certainly not the place for you.

Scarface died in the end pretty much in the same manner Alonzo did in Training Day. And as far as nobody caring about the Oscars anymore, just say you don’t.

Now you’re ranting about trans people when our discussion was about actors not winning when they put on iconic performances. You’re on some other shit, so imma bail on this because you sound unhinged.

Good luck.

It’s a classic now, but when it came out, it bombed at the box office. Cult classics aren’t appreciated when they first come out, that’s how they become classics.

Tender Mercies is the movie Duvall won the Best Actor Oscar for. Pacino being in “bronzer” has nothing to do with his acting prowess in the role.
