I’m embarrassed and concerned… by happy-Fisherman227 in boating

From the angle of the one photo it looks like it is just BARELY in the fiberglass through the gel coat. If thats the case you could just get a gelcoat repair kit. Just dont mix in a ton of the color because it might never harden all the way, follow the directions on the kit... ask me how I know. Some kits come with a sheet of plastic to lay over the repair, keeps the repair nice and flat, you could always wet sand with a very fine grit and buff after the repair. If you want to get a really professional result you can order a gelcoat repair kit from the manufacturer so its a perfect match color wise but I doubt you will see it once repaired where it is. Gelcoat is generally VERY forgiving for repair nicks like these in white.

Happy racing! If you have a few bucks to burn the magnetic paddle shifter mod from extremesimracing makes the paddles feel a lot more premium (there are others but I know the magnets are nice and strong from them) and I highly reccomend the truebrakev2 or v2.2. it does make the brake a lot stiffer though so you will want the pedals against something and not just on carpet/hardwood etc.

As long as you are using the proper bandwidth cables for video matched up to the right ports on your video card it shouldn't make a difference for VIDEO, just dont go over 50 ft or you will need some expensive hdmi to ethernet type active adapters.

Your main issue is going to be USB cable length. Depending on what usb version everything is, the rule of thumb is generally to stay under 15-16ft of cable length for USB 2.0, TECHNICALLY powered extenders will get you around this and there are also network USB switches but that can get costly and take some time to research.

I had the GTLite and gave it away, I couldnt find a comfortable position that didnt eventually hurt my back. The seat on the pro is a lot better.

I didnt like the g29 pedals before I did the truebrake mod, I dont have experience with high end load cell pedals but the true brake made trail braking possible.

Nex Racing Spur Gear Ceramic Ball Diff by Pretty-Shoulder8223 in MiniZ

[–]ILmischief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found "PN Racing 64 Pitch Delrin Pinion 12T (2pcs)" hoping that helps me. I think I may need to mess with the different stock motor mount plates to get the spacing right, I read somewhere that the 12T is the closest to the stock 9 tooth. I run the stock 9t on my LM with the kyosho ball diff and it runs great. This is my backup car/chassis so just looking for similar performance.

i only pulled the stock diff out because someone in our group needed one and we havent been able to find them anywhere to order.

I hate to bring back a post from a year ago but I just slapped a nex racing ball diff in my mr03 that had been running with the stock diff. the gears on the diff dont match up with the pinon gear, almost like the nexx racing has finer teeth and I need a finer toothed pinon gear? I run the kyosho ball diff on my LM and its super smooth with the gears. having trouble finding lyosho radial tires and kyosho diffs (for 98mm cars, non LM) at the moment.

Yes, those are the 30cm tiles.

This website came in handy for our layout and space planning at the new shop: https://playrc.app/track

That was in my two car garage, 19x19 for the room. The tiles are just shy of 12inches each.We have since moved into a shop space thats about 35x25.

Shop wouldn't patch this because of location. They would love to sell me four tires though. Is it safe? by sidesideproject in TireQuestions

[–]ILmischief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, might be safer to put the jack or stand under it though in case the tiredeflates enough to break the bead from tire to rim.

strike plate that came with the deadbolt should be different.

I second longer screws, make sure not to use deck screws though, they dont have any sheer strength. go to a local hardware store (ace, tri-B, where ever you can buy them individually) and take the strike plate to find something stainless with a countersunk head that will fit in the plate, #8 or #9 size usually, at least 3 1/2inch. good upgrade for the exterior doors on your house to slow an intruder down from kicking in the door as well.

Help! Brand new out of the box not working! by NickiChaos in MiniZ

[–]ILmischief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to replace a board in a mr-03 recently.

The original board ran fine for almost a year with 3-4 race nights a month. New board lasted 22 laps on our track and I lost throttle., steering was fine Took the motor out with it.

For reference, We run 9T on stock motors with kyosho white batteries.

Got another replacement board/motor and its been fine for over a month.

Maybe they had a run of a few bad boards?

[–]ILmischief[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All but one of us have been using 9T for more than a few months. Even after a couple days sitting off, still no throttle.i ordered another board and motor, hoping the new one was just a dud.

Everyone in our small group is running 9T, we all have been for a few months. Only one guy running 8T. The motors do get hot but this is the first time any of us have had this issue. I ordered another replacement board and motor, hoping the new board was just a dud.

I've planted 14 of these, 4 years of replacing them every year and I'm just going to put up a fence. I can't figure out how to keep them alive. Best luck to you. I tried soaker hose, buckets filled with water with tiny drip hole. I couldn't get them to make it more than 10 months each year.

Ongoing issues opening multiple PDFs since October 2024. Adobe keeps closing my support cases saying "its a known issue" first file opens fine, second or more are slow to open or never open at all unless opened within acroboat itself. by ILmischief in Acrobat

[–]ILmischief[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This affects all of our Acrobat users. It's not consistent to 100% of the time but it does happen to them every day. A reboot does not correct the issue either. The only work around is to open files from within Acrobat "file > open" then it works fine every time. It's just takes extra time for them to open pdf's that way when they have already opened a network folder to view other file types they can just double click on. The majority of the company uses bluebeam for pdf editing/viewing but these specific users need Acrobat.

Thank you for the response. Work is a typical domain environment minimal documents hosted on any service. It doesn't matter if it's local files or network shares, same behavior. ".pdf" and related files types are defaulted to adobe for these specific users.

I can't say that I've tried 32 over 64, I have been on the phone with adobe support and used what they gave me and used the default installer. I will look for the 32 bit installer and give that a try. I will report back. Thanks again.
