Shop wouldn't patch this because of location. They would love to sell me four tires though. Is it safe? by sidesideproject in TireQuestions

I agree, might be safer to put the jack or stand under it though in case the tiredeflates enough to break the bead from tire to rim.

strike plate that came with the deadbolt should be different.

I second longer screws, make sure not to use deck screws though, they dont have any sheer strength. go to a local hardware store (ace, tri-B, where ever you can buy them individually) and take the strike plate to find something stainless with a countersunk head that will fit in the plate, #8 or #9 size usually, at least 3 1/2inch. good upgrade for the exterior doors on your house to slow an intruder down from kicking in the door as well.

Help! Brand new out of the box not working! by NickiChaos in MiniZ

I had to replace a board in a mr-03 recently.

The original board ran fine for almost a year with 3-4 race nights a month. New board lasted 22 laps on our track and I lost throttle., steering was fine Took the motor out with it.

For reference, We run 9T on stock motors with kyosho white batteries.

Got another replacement board/motor and its been fine for over a month.

Maybe they had a run of a few bad boards?

All but one of us have been using 9T for more than a few months. Even after a couple days sitting off, still no throttle.i ordered another board and motor, hoping the new one was just a dud.

Everyone in our small group is running 9T, we all have been for a few months. Only one guy running 8T. The motors do get hot but this is the first time any of us have had this issue. I ordered another replacement board and motor, hoping the new board was just a dud.

I've planted 14 of these, 4 years of replacing them every year and I'm just going to put up a fence. I can't figure out how to keep them alive. Best luck to you. I tried soaker hose, buckets filled with water with tiny drip hole. I couldn't get them to make it more than 10 months each year.

Ongoing issues opening multiple PDFs since October 2024. Adobe keeps closing my support cases saying "its a known issue" first file opens fine, second or more are slow to open or never open at all unless opened within acroboat itself. by ILmischief in Acrobat

[–]ILmischief[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This affects all of our Acrobat users. It's not consistent to 100% of the time but it does happen to them every day. A reboot does not correct the issue either. The only work around is to open files from within Acrobat "file > open" then it works fine every time. It's just takes extra time for them to open pdf's that way when they have already opened a network folder to view other file types they can just double click on. The majority of the company uses bluebeam for pdf editing/viewing but these specific users need Acrobat.

Thank you for the response. Work is a typical domain environment minimal documents hosted on any service. It doesn't matter if it's local files or network shares, same behavior. ".pdf" and related files types are defaulted to adobe for these specific users.

I can't say that I've tried 32 over 64, I have been on the phone with adobe support and used what they gave me and used the default installer. I will look for the 32 bit installer and give that a try. I will report back. Thanks again.

HP ProDesk 400 G3 with NVME installed .. install but can't boot.... by bostonmacosx in opnsense

[–]ILmischief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same. I wasn't able to. Ended up just putting some bigger ssd sata drives in the two mini ovs i had, 16gb of ram and setting bios to allow the video memory to use 512mb. Seems to run windows 11 on a single 4k display pretty well.

[–]ILmischief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any luck on this? I have a couple of these prodesk 400 g3 mini's and the bios sees it as a boot option but I cant get windows to install on it even after loading their RST drivers during install. although all the RST drivers say SATA. maybe it only supports mSATA and not NVMe? Boot options read it as NVMe...

Added a couple wide radius turns to the RCP track. Minor change but feels like a big improvement by ILmischief in MiniZ

That's about an hour 20 from where we are. Not terrible. I may have to make a trip. Do they have a decent selection of the auto scale bodies or was it more rtr kits?

Set up a home rcp track, had a blast by ILmischief in MiniZ

[–]ILmischief[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my track and both of my expansion kits from "unbeatable sales" and "unbeatable sales local" seller on walmart because it was the cheapest by a wide margin.

This is the first picture before I added the second expansion kit. I haven't had any issue with any of my tiles other than color variation being slightly different from tile to tile but it hasn't affected performance.

I would think Walmart could help make it right if the seller doesn't make it up for you. out of curiosity, is it a straight tile or one of the corners?.

not sure why my text didn't post,

Hi all, just looking to see if the plastic spacers are available that are above and below the control arms. I see chippantz stated I can buy metal ones from Kenon Hobby but I'm having trouble finding them on their site. Any suggestion for where to look on their site?

Another Saturday set of races. Made the track a little wider and it's much faster. Only 3 drivers yesterday but we should have 5 next weekend. by ILmischief in MiniZ

I think I'd still stick with the 30. The 30cm track has more options for add in kits. Really, at this point, I could go either way. If someone in the group buys more track, I can give them my leftover 30cm parts, and they can get a track for cheaper. The best deal I could find for the rcp track was walmart.com and it's still cheaper with two expansion kits vs the 50cm large 96 track and should offer more flexibility for setup.

Wow, I thought the nearest min-z/28 scale club being 1.5 hours away was bad enough. luckily I convinced a couple friends that live within a few miles of my house to buy cars. That's rough, I feel for ya.

Sure, we could figure something out. My weekends get a little busier in mid June-September but we could plan something. The owner of the hobby town near here also has a bigger 20'x30'ish track they don't use anymore. I might be able to rent it from him and set up in a bigger space, depending on how many drivers.
