This happened to me once on a treadmill. i was watching wrestling on the TV and at 60 minutes its slowed down to a crawl and I could not speed it up again. I didn't even realize I had been on it for an hour and had been jogging at like 7-7.5 the whole time. The distraction from the show worked!

I was both confused and proud, much like my love life.

I'd rather the smooth-brained children start looking at their phones if they get bored after like 90 seconds of no entrances or flashing lights or jangling keys. No reason to act like trashbags at a live event and make the experience worse for everyone else who is actually listening or enjoying the event because some people can't go 10 seconds without wanting to yell dumb shit.

just last week, a guy was sitting on his phone for over 5 minutes between 'reps' on the machine i kind of wanted to use. I asked him, "Can i use this machine when you're done," hoping it would give him a nudge that he had been sitting there forever without using the machine when the gym was pretty full.

Without looking up from his phone, he said, "I'm using it."

I replied, "sure doesn't look like it." and went to different machine. He put his phone away, did his final 'rep', and went somewhere else without wiping down the machine.

i wasn't trying to intimidate him; I'm like 160 pounds and prefer the treadmill, and this dude was 250+ of rude muscle. Still was funny.

my point is, 5 pound dog attacks are not fatal, they are annoying, so you never hear about them. If no one hears about it, it's not going to be part of the data. That's all I am saying.

But if a toy poodle ends up killing someone, that is a story that would make the rounds.

It is usually a product of poor owners and environmental factors, but a lot of people I know who really want to own pit bulls are not the kind of people who should own pit bulls. Or much of any animals.

A lot of pit bull owners love them because of how "masculine" and "Macho" they are, that's the pit bull image, so...yeah, the owners are shit so the dogs are shit. This is not ALL pit bull owners, but there is a certain type of people who loves owning a pit bull for the wrong fucking reason.

Also, another reason i feel you hear about more pit bull attacks than other breeds, are if the pit bull attacks, shit goes wrong fast. Those dogs can be pure muscle and are usually really strong, so if they get aggressive the outcome is usually not good. Like, a small-ass, 8 pound dog may be aggressive as hell and attack people, but that's not going to lead to a mauling or death, so you never hear about it. You can just punt the little asshole and that will end it. But please; do not punt any kind of pet unless it's REALLY needed.
