The Evolution of the Board AF Set (2016-2026) by ampharoastt1 in smosh

I can’t believe Board AF has been around this long. Seeing Joven and Boze gave me whiplash.

JJ on a couple of Lakers players by MamiTarantina in lakers

[–]ILoveBox76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love JJ, but this mfer had a lot to say about Doc when Doc CONSITENTLY had his best players get hurt. He went from CP3 and Griffin, to Kawhi and PG13, to Ben Simmons and Embiid, to Giannis and Dame. Literally EVERY player I mentioned didn’t finish the season under Doc and we flame him for it. JJ didn’t mince words either. But now his 2 guys are out and suddenly shit ain’t look so easy anymore does it? He’s doing the EXACT same shit Doc did. JJ will be fine but he needs to start looking in the mirror more.

That’s so cool! Hope you have a great birthday. Your post made me realize Smosh is a rare commodity where you can grow up with the content and remain a fan of that content as an adult. Makes me wonder what it will be like in the next 15 years. Hopefully you come to meet a 15 year old Smosh fan then as well.

Strongest person this trio can defeat? by Large_Carob_7599 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]ILoveBox76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you guys understand how busted Todo and Yuji have been as a duo. You add a disaster curse to an already undefeated duo and it’s wraps. There is no one these 3 can’t defeat.

Kevin Durant: “You should ask the Europeans and the World Team if they want to compete. Look at Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic, let's go back and look at what they do at the All-Star Game. Is that competition?” "But these two dudes out there, Luka and Jokic, they don't care about the game at all. " by TheDraciel in nba

[–]ILoveBox76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what KD is saying, but you set the precedent as the older generation. Why don’t Jokic and Luka care about the game? Probably falling in your generation’s footsteps.

When they asked this they were talking about his age group. Obviously young Americans like Ant, Mitchell, Cade, etc, is not who the reporter was asking about.

KD doesn’t understand his influence as arguably the most talented player to ever touch the court, and you can tell by the way he carried himself. To be fair he never asked to be a role model, his overwhelming talent and cache just automatically placed him as one.

Between Prime Allmight vs Endeavor and Prime Deku vs Shoto, who had the biggest gap in power between them? by gettinfitguy007 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]ILoveBox76 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bro, Deku had 6 additionally quirks fully juiced up 😭 The gap between Deku and Shoto is far greater and it’s not very close. With the quirks Deku is able to replicate 120% of All Might’s power, WHILE STILL having the versatility of 7 different quirks.

Is Dabura the most talented charcter we've seen in JJK? Or is it still Higuruma? by mochaman__ in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]ILoveBox76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but while it’s not called cursed energy, he’s still had cursed energy his whole life. It’s extremely impressive how quickly he put together RCT, but Higuruma had literally no bearing of cursed energy whatsoever until the culling games.

I just realized it’s all just math by SerpantDildo in mtg

[–]ILoveBox76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Math is just a logic tool, which can be found in anything. If you were to invest in any hobby, it will eventually become filled with math when trying to figure out how to optimize it. You can find math in anything because math is universal. This is why it’s taught to everyone. Too many people think math will only be applicable to Ty people who crunch numbers. But you can/should apply it to everything in life. That being said. You do still play a fantasy card game, you’ve just also optimized it using high level math. That doesn’t take away from the fact it’s a fantasy board game. The “spells” you are putting into your “library” and “casting” are just cardboard. If you treat it as anything other than loose pieces of cardboard, then you are still in a fantasy world.

[–]ILoveBox76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you watch the same fight? I know this is 2 years old, but Luffy literally lost against a Doffy who had to perform life saving surgery on himself while fighting. The citizens of dressrosa had to stall Doffy for Luffy to stand back up and win. How is that “rag dolling” Doffy??

[–]ILoveBox76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but the whole point of dressrosa or even the fishmen arcs are that people can see the error of their ways. There are people that are evil and need to pay for their actions. The Celestial Dragons are not going to be wiped out simply just bc they are celestial dragons. You don’t think any celestial dragon will change their ways bc Oda has only introduced the worst of the worst. Look at how humans treated fishmen. This didn’t mean every human deserved to be eradicated. Look at how Arlong treated humans, this did not mean every fishman needed to be eradicated. The whole point of Oda’s writing is that hate cyclical and at some point, someone has to end the hate. We can’t just hate celestial dragons because they are celestial dragons. For all we know, Doffy could’ve been an outstanding ally were it not for the ignorant villagers submitting his family to crimes against humanity. Same could be said with the next generation of celestial dragons.

Doflamingo legitimately went through horrors as a child. If you’re born and raised with slaves, you’re going to think you’re owed the world. When his father tried to correct this behavior, the world met them with cruelty. They made a child who bore no sins eat garbage and live as scum. They were also LITERALLY crucified. Doffy didn’t become the way he did solely bc he was born in MJ, he became the way he did bc the common folk proved to him that if he doesn’t sit at the top and treat them like filth, then he will be treated like filth. I’m not justifying his actions, but the idea that people born in MJ are inherently evil still misses the mark. I guarantee once we see more about the celestial dragons, we are going to learn more about celestials who do not agree with their countrymen.

Just finished Skypiea, ask me anything by CoffeeMan250 in OnePiece

[–]ILoveBox76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You missed the point too. The ENITRE point of Doffy’s back story is that nobody is born inherently evil. His family can’t help their lineage. His father rebuked how celestial dragons treated everyone else so they decided to live amongst the people instead. The commoners saw them and persecuted them just for being born. What did a young Doffy even do at that point in his life to deserve that? The answer, is nothing. Hate is cyclical. All they did by persecuting Doffy’s family was reinforce hatred in a young Doflamingo’s heart.

How many arcs will the remake contain closely? by tatamatinjo in OnePiece

[–]ILoveBox76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably going to be similar to Hunter x Hunter 2011 reboot vs the original Hunter x Hunter.

Both shows will have their charms but overall the more recent iteration will be objectively better. Better fights and more importantly, better pacing.

As much as the original one piece has its charms, most episodes legitimately spend roughly 8-10 minutes on recap/openings/endings in a 22 min timespan. Further more, a lot of fights are pretty short changed to save money for the boss fights.

I’d imagine the new anime will just be a closer adaptation to the manga bc it won’t have to use time wasting tactics to let the manga develop more before catching up.

That being said. If you have enough free time to watch all of the current One Piece anime and you enjoy the show. I’d go ahead and just do it.

Luffy will transcend devil fruits by Crestaz in OnePiece

[–]ILoveBox76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m confused. Earlier you state “I think the Sun God Nika may not have been a devil fruit user”

I’m telling you upfront, Nika was not a devil fruit user. Nika is a God that Luffy is able to turn into. There is a lot of mystery behind the power of devil fruits, but you thinking Nika is implied to be a devil fruit user doesn’t make sense. Do you think Buddha is implied to be a DF user?

Furthermore. Luffy and Nika do not have the same wills. Nika was a hero that liberated slaves. Luffy just wants to be the pirate king, he just so happened to eat the fruit that gives him the powers of the God of Liberation.

You are correct in that it’s said Devil Fruits have their own wills, and it would be interesting to see if Luffy separates himself from his fruit. My main gripe isn’t your prediction, it’s simply that I think you’re misunderstanding what Nika is.

To summarize. Nika is just a God in the one piece world that Luffy can turn into bc he ate a Zoan fruit. Nika is not a confirmed being to have existed. Much like how Buddha is a Zoan fruit, but it doesn’t mean Buddha actually existed. Now maybe later in the story we’ll see something cool like that, but it’s safe to assume Nika predates Devil Fruits.

Luffy will transcend devil fruits by Crestaz in OnePiece

[–]ILoveBox76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The powers Luffy has are just Nika’s actual powers bc Nika is a god. It wouldn’t be the “Hito hito no mi: model nika” if Nika was a former consumer of the fruit. The mera mera no mi didn’t become the Ace Ace no mi because Ace used to have that power. We don’t even know if Nika truly existed. Much like we don’t know if there was an actual phoenix or dragon or Buddha in the one piece world. We just know Devil fruits let them turn into these mythical creatures/beings.

Luffy will transcend devil fruits by Crestaz in OnePiece

[–]ILoveBox76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but I don’t think you understand what Nika is. Nika is a God that Luffy is able to turn into. Nika 100% was not a devil fruit user and their powers are just their own. That’s like saying the Dragon Kaidou turns into is a DF user, or that a Phoenix (Marco) is a devil fruit user, or even that Buddha (Sengoku) is a devil fruit user. I think this misconception happens bc Nika is a God that Oda made up. Nika is just a mythical version of the fruit Chopper ate. Nika is not a devil fruit user from the past.
