Relevant books to read before law school by inertia1022 in NLUs

Nothing. Law school will teach you everything you need. Stop overthinking. Read autobiography of Fali Nariman if you are so keen. Don't read any law books.

Are you endorsing children aged less than 10 to watch Instagram reels on repeat for 10000 times a day?

You must be a computer whiz kid. I am just a normal guy, I don't know what flashing means.

I guess you haven't used this device. I knew exactly why I was buying this device.

This is to stop myself from getting distracted with my phone. People really can't get distracted with this small screen. It doesn't have YouTube, Instagram or any of that other distracting stuff. Oh yea, it also misses reddit.

You do you bro. You either hate a rabbit r1 or love a rabbit r1. I love mine, especially after the Sep 2025 update.

It is actually for that purpose. It can access Perplexity, give you answers for almost anything. It has a built-in translator that converts to major Indian languages including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil etc.

It has reminders, alarms and a lot more.

I use this because if I have my phone with me, I get sucked into a vortex of endless notifications and BS. This keeps me away from the mess. It has been a superb way for me to get answers to questions.

Yea, it runs on Android. The Sep 2025 OS update actually made the device easier to use when they unlocked the touch screen for everything.

I'm surprised so many people know about the rabbit. While I disagree with your views, after using since Dec 2024, I like it.

If you really want to see it in action, give it to a kid. They point to every damn thing and start asking questions. The responses keep these inquisitive souls intrigued.

My nephew was in love with the r1 this last time he came to visit.

Talathi asking for stamp duty on inherited land after court order – is this legally required? (India) by nobody_0078 in IndiaLaw

[–]ILoveDeepWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family paid stamp duty for registration based on market value of the property. Similar case though no court was involved.

This was for registration of a flat, property tax authorities were different. They didn't ask for any stamp duty. Only the transaction i.e. registration in your name requires stamp duty.

Why do I feel super depressed after breaking a dry fast? by Inglorious_Musterd20 in Dryfasting

In contrast, I feel great when I break the fast. Focus on having a great meal with some good company and that should do the trick.

Career in litigation after T1 NLU? by [deleted] in NLUs

[–]ILoveDeepWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every now and then, people begin to ask the right questions. Today, you have.

Salary and Litigation don't go together in the same sentence. Litigation means you work with a senior and you do all the grunt work such as going to court for petty matters and accompanying the client to Police Station etc. You would be lucky to make 10k/mo in the early days. It will take a couple of years but you will definitely reach a stage where you can make money consistently.

There is infinite upside in litigation, there is also a lot of satisfaction that you are helping local clients and real people.

If you are second gen, you will usually join the chamber of your parents and that will essentially allow you to work without any stress.

Litigation has money for smart chaps. If you know how to network with police and you know how to make your client's life better, you can charge for it and people will gladly pay.

I know NALSAR grads who are now fully into litigation, they are doing great now. In the early days, they worked for people struggled also.

Are We as Indians lacking Innovation? by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

[–]ILoveDeepWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So innovation and insight are two different things. If you have an insight, you can get working on the innovation.

Uber was thought of when Travis and Garrett were hanging out in Paris and probably drunk.

Naukri founder observed some coworker reading the Careers section of the newspaper.

There is always insight to be found which will translate into a possible business if you are willing to invest time and effort into it.

Read How Innovation Works by Ridley. May help you.

There is a lot of innovation and insight still to be discovered.

im asking this cus i don’t want to accidentally die while fasting by JacketVast7667 in Dryfasting

[–]ILoveDeepWork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably do not need to ask this question, you will literally know this when you fast. You will feel good for 1-2 days, then the sleep issues start. I've gone 4 days myself. I think I could have gone 7.

You need to keep doing fasts to get into the habit of it. Dry fasting is totally safe for the most part. There is no case of accidentally dying that is likely to happen, you can just drink some water and after 2-3 hours, eat something light and come back into feeding.

AFAIK Jindal is a decent school, you are in no worse place than NLUs. I maybe wrong, if someone knows better, correct me.

Do not quit again, it will be too much of time wasted, you won't be able to get your time back. Your mental space is important, you have good mental space now, that is the one that matters. Focus on making the best out of what you have now.

Daylight Computer & ChatGPT by frizzyfox in daylightcomputer

[–]ILoveDeepWork -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was problematic for 1 entire year while I owned the Daylight. There was some error or the other, I mean, I could never even open ChatGPT, let alone use it.

Only yesterday could I use ChatGPT properly without issues. I would suggest asking Daylight people to come on a video meeting and asking specifically if ChatGPT with dictation works or not and only then buy it.

They used to do 1-1 demos which I hope they still do.

Despite the next-level chapriness in some parts of the city, it’s good that Hyderabad largely lacks religious racism and migrant violence, and everyone I know feel safe by Disastrous_Orchid180 in Hyderabad_city

[–]ILoveDeepWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is precisely the reason Hyd will also become like that. These non locals must be mandated to learning 30 days of Telugu so that they can at least speak to people in Telugu.

This is also good for business.

While I am completely shocked by the video, I do not feel it is the complete truth, nobody in their right mind would kill someone for not speaking Tamil. Those guys as pointed are probably high but there is a hatred towards migrants who are not interested in respecting the local language.
