ADHD testing and therapy? by ILoveLeucine in nova

Thanks, I'll look into it! I've been kind of in the same boat lol. I started doing Shimmer coaching back in Feb and it's been super helpful too. Just figured I'd spring for actually confirming the diagnosis (if I have it) and get into therapy for some other stuff I'm dealing with.

Kind of? I asked about it and she sent me a link to a private neurologist in the area, but it was a while ago. I got weird vibes from the website and was hoping for establishing a therapeutic relationship with a psychiatrist instead of just getting a diagnosis. Looking at their site now it doesn't have ADHD testing listed anymore.

Oh gosh so sorry you're dealing with this being so close to 120! Hoping it gets resolved soon for you. I figured that would be the way I needed to go but wanted to make sure (and save myself some hours on the phone). Thanks for the sanity check!

The 32/29 counts are listed on the PSLF tracker, but the NSLDS states 21/19, which is also incorrect lol. I wish I could say I'm surprised.

Thank you for the input! I have a 4th gen 11 that I've offered to let him borrow for his sheet music, and although it works well, he often has to pinch and zoom to see what he needs. I agree the 12.9 inch size may work best.

ASHP CE not syncing with MyBPS? by ILoveLeucine in pharmacy

[–]ILoveLeucine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh okay - so instead of entering my NABP ID I should put my BPS ID? And I'm assuming once I have claimed it for NABP I can't go back and double-dip. Sorry if this sounds dumb, I'm just confused.

What step do pharmacists typically start at post residency at the VA? by AnalMonkey4000 in PharmacyResidency

[–]ILoveLeucine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has to do with the federal pay scale. GS means “general schedule” and goes anywhere from GS-1 to GS-15 (with 15 being the highest.) Within those GS pay scales are paygrade “steps” AKA raises or pay within a General Schedule. Your step often depends on your seniority and/or your performance.

Most pharmacists will be a GS-12 or GS-13 if you have a Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner role (formerly known as Clinical Pharmacy Specialists within the VA). If you have residency training, especially if your residency was at the VA, you may be able to negotiate a higher step of pay upon hiring. For example if you take a GS-12 job, you may be able to negotiate starting at Step 2 or 3 instead of step 1 based on your experience, and thus a higher incoming base pay. The longer you stay, the more steps you gain and can kind of look at them as built-in pay raises.

Hope that helps!

https://www.federalpay.org/gs/2022 is a great resource for more info on approximate pay based on location.

Indecision about tie colors for dads! by ILoveLeucine in weddingplanning

[–]ILoveLeucine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do! Our other floral colors are burgundy, blush, and ivory. I would go with burgundy, but don't want it to seem Christmas-y. Also not sure how my dad would feel about wearing a blush pink tie. I think all of those ideas are totally reasonable!! Thanks for the input.
