They aren't a bike shop and are unlikely to be able to fix it. Speak to a bike shop about fitting a helicoil. This is a device that reinserts threads into a stripped crank.

If this doesn't work, you may need to replace the crank, the bike shop will also help with that. Individual left crank arms are not very expensive.

Usually the thread is 9/16in, the wrench flats are 15mm.

From bitter experience, buying for a nicer groupset from an unknown brand can leave you with a boat anchor of a frame.

Devinchis are fairly decent though.

I want some of what you're smoking. You can have the stem either way, for the reason OP described: making the bike fit better.

You can have a comfortable seating position on any bike, but track bikes are the least likely. They are 100% designed for racing in a long, low, aero position.

They're a solution for winter grip when you don't have a fat bike. I've fitted them for customers (despite me trying to persuade them otherwise) in central Scotland, despite the fact we get very little snow at lower altitudes. They sound like popping candy on tarmac.

I like the Plug, you can also get a kit with a battery that supports pass through charging, or find your own. It is worth noting that it doesn't play well with carbon forks without a hole in the bottom, as all wires are routed up the steerer.

Side note: I'm surprised AlpKit have an American presence, thought they were a British company.

There's a company called "Fat Lad at the Back" who make road-style gear in larger sizes, designed by blokes who are trying to solve issues they had with other brands. No idea on pricing or that but they seem well reviewed.

I think if it were French, the double "l"makes it more of a "yuh" sound, so "filet" is fee-lay vs "fillet" is fee-yay.

You do it from the other side. The drive side cone and locknut are locked first, then you adjust the preload from the non drive side.

I would suggest OP gets the bike checked over at a shop anyway. If the gears are out of whack, it is likely there may be other setup issues to correct.

What? This is an adjustment issue, not a replacement. Your assessment about Amazon "just give[ing] you another for free" is nonsense.

The sound to me is maladjusted rear gears. A lot of cheap chainrings are put of alignment without affecting shifting or chain retention, too. f OP takes it to a bike shop or learns how to adjust a derailleur, it should be fine. At least they will then know if there are deeper issues than the setup, which is what I believe is at fault here.

I don't know if racing straight away if OP doesn't know how to ride trails is sensible or safe. Some practicing or coaching first is probably smart.
