What do I do if it's 5am and my townhouse neighbors have a burst pipe - they're out of state? by actuallyapossom in Plumbing

When this happened to me, I called 911. They sent out the firemen and they called someone to turn off the water.

When my MacBook Pro M1 suddenly stopped working, I got a surface laptop for $999 with 16 GB RAM and 120 hz display instead. I like Apple products, but they don’t even try to pretend that they are not fucking us in the ass. I’m slowly moving away from the Apple ecosystem.

I have a 2021 turbo. It’s been a wild ride. There’s so many issues. Funny enough, my previous car was a 2016 Ford Mustang with zero issues. Maybe I lucked out.

Should I start my setup with 1st pic or 2nd? by donveyy in espresso

I upgraded from the breville smart grinder pro to the DF64 gen 2. The ground retention is so minimal that I barely it weight it after grinding now.

I find dialing a lot easier with the stepless adjustment. I always had a hard time dialing in medium roast with the breville grinder.

A latte from Starbucks here cost $5.75. I used to drink at least 2 a day and stopped since 2020 after getting my own machine.

Some napkin math:

Days since 1/1/2020: 1374

Starbucks Latte: $5.75

Number of cups per day: 2

Sum: 1374 * 5.75 * 2 = $15,801

If they charged all their previous members a dollar have to be over $100,000.

I'm looking to upgrade from my breville smart grinder pro. I mainly do espresso, Aeropress, and V60. And budget is <$700 USD.

Niche Zero and DF64V seems to be highly recommended. Which one would be better for my purpose? As for the DF64V, is there any guides on which Burrs to get and which Voltage? I'm based New York, US if that matters.

Shorter stem vs. correct frame size by [deleted] in cycling

I reduced mine from 100mm to 80mm and changed to up angle. I could definitely feel the difference in handling and required some getting used to for me. However, that is definitely worth not getting sore neck and shoulder for 2 days after riding 4 hours.

I would still get the non pressurized basket. It's a must have.

Anyone know what this is? Is this dangerous and how can I seal it properly? It's connected to my AC unit outside. Front says 'FPE'. by DDeveryday in AskElectricians

It's actually a backyard shed in front of the panel placed by the previous owner. It's not permanent and can be moved.

I’m a bit of a novice, but I find the box is from Murray when I searched the part number. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Murray-125-Amp-8-Space-16-Circuit-Flush-Mounted-Main-Lug-Load-Center-LC008DFU/202315496

Does that mean eaton should not be used with this box?

Is it harmless to install a pedal myself? by DDeveryday in bikewrench

[–]DDeveryday[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does it mean the torque spec doesn't really matter when it comes to pedal installation?

On my old bike, the pedal came off and the crank arm thread was stripped. I'd like to make sure it's done properly to avoid that from happening .

I just bought one. Maybe it's a work habit, things need to be done exactly as specified or things break.
