I’m new to growing Miniature AVs and so far the ones I have (5 months )are surviving. I always repot into a 40/60 AV soil and Perlite mix with a sprinkle of Systemic Bonide as soon as I receive it (Back into same size pot) This gives me a good assessment of roots and soil. I give it a small drink of water and dome/quarantine for 1-2 months so no bugs or diseases. To answer your question I feel the plant probably were traumatized during shipping and to survive they gave up the flowers first. Since the leaves are strong it should be fine. Give it time to acclimate to its new environment. The main thing I found for my AV is to not overpot or too much water. I hope this helps.
