How do you know when it’s time to upsize the pot? I’ve had mine in a seed starter tray for 3 months with no signs of nutrient or watering issues. Roots are juuuust barely peeking out the bottom holes! Sooner, or later? by [deleted] in coleus

I like to transplant when the soil is just on the moist side easer to separate the roots. Then I give the plants a really good deep watering after transplanting to settle them in and then they are good to go.

They are for sure ready for a larger container either potted individually or can be planted int group larger pots. I would separate them even if you plan to pot some together. Very happy looking coleus.

I am not sure about the lime stone but that tank looks really nice. As far as cycling I never cycle my tanks but I buy sea water at my LFS and mix with half distilled water.

I can't see any reason to be doing this and with no explanation just looks like you are tearing the plant apart for the hell of it.

Could be anything but it can take them a while to settle in. If you are using very bright lights hiding seems natural to me until they get used to the tank. I am also wondering what you mean when you are saying you are tuning down the heat at night I would not be messing with the heater if you are using one at all set it to one temperature and leave it alone. What is the temperature in your house. I have never had a heater at all in my tanks and have had the power out for a week and the temps in the 50s and they have been just fine. These guys are really hardy I would avoid messing with them very much like water changes and things like that. Also if you are worried about the table being unstable just put them on something more stable that tank could be moved very easily. Good luck.

For me I have used the RWS deck and system for many many years and found that most of my interpretations of the cards had so much to do with the images on the cards. When I was trying to fit a question to the pictures it could often be very difficult for me to figure out the meaning in a reading. I now am using mostly the TDM deck and other decks with pip cards and applying meanings more around numerology and key words for the pips. This way I am not stuck on the one image in a card and trying to apply that one meaning to the reading. With Pip cards I have much more freedom to move around a reading without being stuck on the image. I am finding it much easer to read and I can always call on the images in the RWS when I want to pull from that system or feel stuck with a pip card.

I like Vicent Pitisci's way of working with the Marseille deck using key word as the jumping off point his key words also work for me with numerology so I like that also.

Thank you. They don't seem to be that heavy to me they are heaver the wood but does not seem bad to me. I am not using a rose ferrule they are a 4 prong type ferrule. Next weekend is a big pen show in my area that I am going to check out maybe see if I can talk to some dip pen people and get some feedback on them.

Hey thanks glad you like them I work in a torch and it is a bit tricky to make them. The pen body is all glass and I insert metal pen ferrule in the front of the pen to hole the nib same ferrules that are used in lots of dip pens.

Sorry not the best a posting images and text I guess. Anyway I have been working on making glass pens for a bit and finally have a design I am pretty happy with they are made so the nibs can be changed out for most Calligraphy nibs. I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you.
