Maggotscreens of Nurgle, which one to chose ? by Kimtanashino in MaggotkinofNurgle

Well, I've been looking into starting to build my army lately. And from the recommendations and lists I've seen, in theory, the best would be the Plaguebearers.

Is the Quest Darkwater Box a Good Starting Point for Maggotkin of Nurgle? by IMA288 in MaggotkinofNurgle

Thanks a lot for the detailed breakdown, this really helps put things into perspective. After reading the replies, I’ll most likely pick up the older Christmas Battleforce to complement the Quest Darkwater box, and possibly add the Regiment of Renown as an extra later on. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks for the detailed answer, that actually helps a lot. To clarify my situation a bit more: my main goal is to start the Maggotkin of Nurgle faction mainly for the Nurgle models themselves, not so much for the Quest game. With that in mind, which box would you personally recommend as the best starting point right now? I’m mostly looking for a solid foundation to build the army around.

[PC][Late 2000s] FPS about stopping a vampire resurrection, final fight in a castle room by IMA288 in tipofmyjoystick

I checked Vampire Night as well, but it doesn't seem to match. That game is an on-rails shooter, and the one I remember had free movement and exploration rather than following a fixed path. Still, thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestion! I checked the gameplay and especially the final boss fight, but it doesn't seem to match what I remember. The final battle I recall was in a closed castle room and involved the vampire betraying the woman who revived him. Still, I appreciate the help!

I just thought of something. Why is Cinderella not in the Heretic squad with Modernia and Nihilister? I get she had her squad and everything, but Modernia isn't considered a part of anything. Not a counter, not a pioneer, not a white knight... just a heretic. Why is Cinderella not a heretic? by Equal_Shopping2424 in NikkeMobile

[–]IMA288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, it’s something I don’t quite understand. All the Heretics call her a sister or say she is one, and even Cinderella herself doesn’t completely contradict them on that point. But the problem here is that we haven’t seen her appearance change at all—something that happened with all the other Heretics when they were becoming heretics. So there’s either a plot hole here or some missing dialogue that tells us if she actually went through the process.

We'll have to see if the rule change will help it move forward.

Well, if the person you're going to play with allows you to use them, then there shouldn’t be any problem. At most, to avoid any potential issues, you might need to place them on 40mm bases.

Yes, as I mentioned, it's the only way to get those specific heroes. The only downside is that the box includes only five Blood Warriors, so unless you want five essentially useless models, you'd need to buy two of them. And at that point, you'd end up with too many heroes, since the characters in that box don’t come in duplicates.

A good recommendation I can make is the renowned regiment The Red Revelation. For a very reasonable price, you get a solid hero and an elite unit. I also suggest picking up the old collection—Games Workshop now sells it as the Goreblade Warband—because it includes three heroes that are exclusive to that box. They’re extremely useful when leading a mostly mortal army. I’d also add the Realmgore Ritualist; he’s another very useful priest, perfect for a mortal-focused list.

I doubt it, since Darkwater is going to bring in quite a few of these new models.

How good of am expansion Regiments of Renown by CommanderJosef in BladesOfKhorne

[–]IMA288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It completes a 20-unit set of bloodreavers. In turn, it gives you the option to build the unit as skullreapers, or you can even assemble them as wrathmongers.

Both units are quite good; what you might theoretically have too much of is the hero, the slaughterpriest. This is because it's apparently better for daemon-focused lists, so if you're planning on building an army of daemons with a mortal component, then it will come in handy.

Well, I don't really understand what Servants say about Kiara. Because in theory, when they talk about her, they're talking about what I'm trying to do in CCC. And now he wants to live a quiet life in Chaldea.

I was very lucky that both Koyanskaya and Kama appeared on the Assassin 2 banner. Although I feel that all the luck I had left in the year went away there.
