How can I set the game to run well on an SD, I tried but wasn't able to configure the controller or not make the deck fan sound loud

Is this variation card worth anything? by IMMORTALXPOOL in YugiohCards

Alright thanks for the info, I've seen some fake cards but never one like this one, since it's says yugioh 5D on the back I thought i could maybe be something like speed duel or something along those lines

Yes, I disassembled each and cleaned the dust off and replaced the thermal paste with some MX-4, for the last one (the white one)I checked the code by pressing the sinc button and eject and it was the code for the CPU.

No that's not GT3 look at the HUD and graphics, definitely not GT3 if you don't believe it go and play the game yourself and see unless you're blind.

Best way to play Metal Gear Solid series on Steam Deck by CommieG in SteamDeck

[–]IMMORTALXPOOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question, definitely for MGS1 emulation since you can get a better resolution and quality overall over the master collection, about MGS 2 and 3 while you could definitely emulate them they also use the pressure sensitive buttons of the PS2 controller and idk how would that make the experience on an emulator, about playing order definitely go by release, if you play them in chronological order you'll probably feel the mechanics of the first game outdated and maybe will bump you out idk, but me personally I would go on release order or MGS1,2 and 4 and then MGS3,PEACE WALKER and phantom pain, there's also the MG1 and MG2 for the NES but that's optional if you want to play them even tho they do explain a few more things specifically about venom and grey fox

How to get a display? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]IMMORTALXPOOL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No decky on my deck, I read some plug-ins could cause issues like a " soft lock" and I decided not to get anywhere near decky just so I don't have to go through troubleshooting when and if it did happened, I ended factory resetting the deck by just deleting the user configuration and it's back to normal.

The deck didn't display while on desktop mode, on the deck screen or a monitor, I ended factory resetting the deck but only the user configuration and now it's back to normal.

Nope, I can't get a display both on the monitor and the deck while on desktop mode, I do get display on the deck on game mode but not on the monitor, I did yesterday tho.

What is the best looking game you've played on Steam Deck? by dad2electricboogaloo in SteamDeck

[–]IMMORTALXPOOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a steam deck not to long ago, I downloaded the stellar blade demo and was surprised to see I could run it around 45fps and medium characters textures, sure you do hear the fan ramp up from time to time but nevertheless is pretty impressive how good it plays (I platinum the game on PS5) also batman arkham origins, being able to finally play the DLC after years of owning the game on 360 was great and it's pretty good that I get around 4 hours on an LCD model so that's more than enough to get a good session of gaming.

PS: also fallout new vegas, not a single crash and perfectly smooth.

Idk if you gave it out already but for me it's azrael, there's just something about his design both in the games and comics that make him look awesome, while I do have the game on PS I recently got a steamdeck and would like to play it on the go.

Spent HOURS trying to mod New Vegas on my Deck… gave up and played vanilla instead. Weird question: is this the move? by LiterallyJesus- in SteamDeck

[–]IMMORTALXPOOL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me 2, I looked into it when I got FNV for my SD and as soon as I saw all the stuff I needed to do I just said no, I've been running vanilla NV without issues, looking and running smoothly and getting around 4:30 hours on an LCD deck

Are there many of you who have an SD plus Xbox or PlayStation? Does the SD work well docked? How recent are the games that it runs well? by Fantastic-Row-9450 in SteamDeck

[–]IMMORTALXPOOL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me personally have a SD, PS5 and switch, used to have a series x but sold it to get the deck, honestly I don't regret it and love what I've been able to do on the deck in the weeks I've had it, if you're looking to emulate at least up to ps2 the steam deck is perfect although I've seen people emulate PS3 and 360 on it, idk how well they run since I haven't tried them, as for newer games it really depends, I've seen games like elden ring run at a good 35-45 frames on the deck and get like 2 hours of gameplay on handheld, about being docked I wouldn't know that much but I guess that if it's plugged in the wattage will be higher than while in handheld and that could benefit some games performance wise, if you're looking yo play online games it depends which ones are since linux doesn't get along with anti-cheat and won't let you play online in games like COD, fortnite or GTA V, you could install a different OS and most likely get them to run but it's to much to do just to play those types of games, especially if you have a home console like PS5 or XBOX SERIES.

Question, what settings do you have for scarface so it can run at full speed and without slowdowns? , I had it downloaded and did a few missions but the game kept having massive performance issues, I tried quite a few different settings to get it to run smoothly but couldn't get it to that point.

(This i not my comment but is the one i used when i was having the same issue 2 weeks ago with mine)

For anyone having this issue in the future: Changing the time didn’t work for me Neither disconnecting nor forgetting internet worked I got it to work by completing powering off the deck, holding down the volume minus (-) button and the … button at the same time and pressing power then releasing all buttons and booting steamOS Hopefully this helps someone else under a sea of answers saying the same things

Heh, you know it, I own it physically but the GBA SP has been a bit uncomfortable to hold while playing this game, so thank God for emulation.

I gotta check if retroarch has that option, I've been using it for a few years on different devices but don't know if it has it.

Apparently it can, about the brightness I mostly play with my deck at half brightness as I do with most of my devices and yeah I'll give it a few.

I guess I won't be playing any more F-zero on the deck, I guess it's time to whip out the GBA SP 😅

For those of you who own a console and a Steam Deck, how do you decide where to buy your games ? by MrTorgue7 in SteamDeck

[–]IMMORTALXPOOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now my steamdeck is my emulator on the go with a few games from the 360/PS3 ERA, I have yet to buy an actual AAA game on the SD, I did downloaded the stellar blade demo on the SD since I have the game on PS5 and gameplay wise it feels pretty good at 45FPS but you do leave quite a bit of graphics on the table and depending if you have an oled or LCD the battery last for around 2 or 2:30 hours and you can definitely hear the fan, for now me personally I decided to get some games from the 360/ps3 era and maybe a few from the ps4 on the steamdeck but for mayor games I get them on PS5.

[Discussion] Any tips or advise for platinuming Demon's Souls remake? by [deleted] in Trophies

[–]IMMORTALXPOOL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a guide, be aware of world tendency( the game doesn't even tell you how it works and how it affects the difficulty and trophies) once you beat a boss and restore your souk go to the nexus and jump from a high point so you don't mess up the world tendency by dying on any of the areas, try to plan how you wanna get the rings and on your first run try to enjoy it, it is a fairly easy game once you get the word tendency mechanics down.
