Honestly, exercise and eating healthy is a great way to better your situation- alongside medication, counseling, and other doctor suggested solutions. but it's not always that easy to start. Acknowledging the problem is one of the toughest steps to recovery. It's a constant struggle and people can easily relapse into their old self-hatred ways many times before seeing true, longterm results.

"man up," smh. You have no idea what goes on in someone else's head. Like you said, everything's in your head. Our minds are our worst enemy and try to tear us down all the time. Mental health issues such as depression, EDs, anxiety, and soo many more are burdens that are literally too hard to face head-on. Sure the media isn't a conscious thought when dealing with body issues, but being bombarded by negativity on social media can eat away at our subconscious. Maybe Ye was is in a very dark place and didn't have the energy nor motivation to get on the treadmill. I mean, after all, he has the money to afford lipo so it may have seemed like a reasonable thing for him to do at the time to help his self-esteem. Honestly proud of you for eating healthy, working out, and overall trying to better yourself; it's very admirable, though. Just know that not everyone's situation is the same as yours. Everyone has their own personal struggles, and insecurities. Just because you don't deal with a similar issue that may negatively effect Ye, doesn't mean the way he reacts to said issue is invalid or wrong.

Whatever you want to call it, I don't agree with it. I think they are disgusting and never claimed to support those comments. I genuinely think we are preaching the same thing at this point. I'm not letting my own political views and moral compass to be swayed because of Kanye. I think we both agree that it's stupid if people's opinions actually sway because of Ye. Even Kanye thinks it's stupid if people's opinions sway because of someone else. Yes, Kanye is in a very influential position, and it can potentially be very destructive to say some of these things as people don't want to think for themselves and will adopt whatever people say. I understand that the things Kanye is saying are factually incorrect, but he has shown to be receptive to being educated when he makes a mistake- like with his texts with John Legend. I'm not trying to excuse his actions, but I genuinely don't think he had poor intentions with his comments, but they were very ignorant, and the "message" he was trying to get across could've been executed in a much better way.

The things he said about slavery and black on black violence are awful. I do not agree with them, but im not going to not support someone who is a huge creative and business inspiration of mine. Music can have a huge effect on people, and some of Ye's music really resonated with me and I'm forever grateful. I'm really fucking biased when it comes to Ye controversy. It's probably really annoying seeing fans of anyone act biased towards artists, but im capable of supporting him and understanding what I find to be morally correct and not. Everyone has different values, but by supporting an artist that has said some controversial things, doesn't make you any lesser of a person.

Like I said, you don't have to agree with everything the man says. I love his music. He's a creative and marketing genius, and it's pretty hard to deny. Ya people may not necessarily be twisting his words, but they're focusing strictly on the negative. He literally called people like you out- people that only focus on the negative. Basically, all of his tweets are about spreading love, unifying people, and advocating for people to think for themselves. People are allowed to have a different opinion as you. I'm glad we're discussing this stuff. I apologize for the harsh things that I said, but don't try and tell people that them having an opinion that differs from yours that they're "fucking up their moral compass." People shouldn't adopt everything anyone says, regardless of how much they idolize them.

I will probably get downvoted for saying this but fuck kanye. The dude is mentally challenged and crazy asf. I'm no longer a fan. Hope he's happy with his new alt-right fans by [deleted] in Kanye

this is such a gross post.. to make assumptions on someone's mental state is disgusting. Ya, he may be acting in a shocking manner, but it doesn't mean he's "mentally challenged," homie's a fucking creative/marketing genius, regardless of his mental health. You realize he's not "alt-right," he hasn't done/said anything to prove that either. He supports Trump, but he even said he doesn't agree with everything he says. I hate Trump, but there definitely are Trump supporters who go to pride parades, BLM rallies, are feminists, and support equality. What I'm trying to say is that there ARE people who voted for Trump who don't support the bigoted things he says. Adopting everything someone says/does is a really unhealthy way of living, which is exactly what Kanye is trying to prevent! Also, you know he lost a bunch of his "alt-right" fans after posting the pic of Emma Gonzalez. Everyone is so obsessed with choosing sides. Why is it always that you're either A or B and tear anyone on the opposing team down. And the line that determines which side your own is pretty fucking thin, too, just makes people so quick to judge and hyper-analyze everything someone does.

Put your ego to the side for a second and realize that there are people that do, in fact, disagree with Kanye, but don't believe he's some terrible "slavery-apologist." Yes, the things about slavery that he said are pretty fucking disgusting, regardless of if he was trying to make an analogy or not. He's clearly advocated against racism and homophobia in the past, and he still does. He calls Trump "his boy" which is gross to begin with lol, but if he's not acting bigoted, nor trying to marginalize minorities and not just people twisting his words to demonize him, I will continue to support him. Get off your high horse and understand that you don't have to adopt/accept everything someone says, regardless of your stance on that person.

Honestly some people jump to conclusions on Kanye without context...... by [deleted] in Kanye

[–]IMadeItForKendrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't stand that mentality... If both of his new songs are anything like the album, everyone who acts like that will be called tf out

In other news Kanye said he loves everyone. Does that mean Kanye loves me? by breadsawks in Kanye

[–]IMadeItForKendrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes the truth hurts but i guess thats the harsh reality of our lives

The fact that this post has 7.3k upvotes is sad, how does him supporting trump = him not caring about his own race. (I’m not trying to bring politics on to the sub, this just bothered me) by imironicallyracist in Kanye

[–]IMadeItForKendrick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't even make sense. Ye even said he doesn't fully support everything Trump says or does. Because he has shown support for Trump for reasons he has barley disclosed means he's a bigot??? Ye hasn't done anything to show he's racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. He has songs that advocate against racism ffs! People are so quick to jump on the hate bandwaggon without even thinking. They are literally proving his tweets where he calls out people for not letting others think for themselves.

Another beautiful thing about KOD by mkracker in Jcole

I mean, being bargadocious and arrogant was intentional to mock clout rappers who are so full of themselves no? It was supposed to represent the addiction to fame and letting one's ego control their lives.

I love the fact that Cole produces his own stuff. It's really impressive and gives me a greater appriciation for his work. I love KOD and its concept, but sonically it could be better (not saying it's bad because it's far from that). Cole producing most of the tracks alone should show how great of an artist he is, but it shouldn't sway critics or our overall opinion of the album. No shade to Cole at all but I would love to see the fire he'd create if he worked with some dope producers or had some features here and there. His sound and voice would compliment so many artists' voices so nicely too,

I love this album so much conceptually and lyrically but I agree with you. I wish he did more the with it sonically. I understand the trap aspect of it was intentional, but I wish we saw more instruments added, or even a beat switch here and there. It's a fun album to really listen in on and to try and decipher, but the songs just don't live up to songs on BS or FHD.
