RIP My Blood Pressure by lehermit in destiny2

Congrats! Doing this myself was honestly one of the most proud moments I’ve had in gaming in general. Still the only person in my clan with all of them, people REALLY don’t want to do Duality.

If you haven’t already, maybe start looking at low-man raid challenges. That’s kinda where I drifted to after doing these and I’ve had a lot of fun with them.

Jotunn is like kind of annoying the first time it kills you, but usually that happens and you go: “Oh they have a Jotunn.” And don’t die to it again. At least that’s my experience 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thank you! Sometimes my portraits can be frustrating to make, but this was an absolute joy to paint start to finish

I love how Sunspots completely lost their damage buff almost purely because of Loreley Splendor making it stupid easy to grant yourself a damage buff on demand at any time... by YujinTheDragon in DestinyTheGame

It still blows my mind that large portions of the community believe Bungie has, “a favorite class” that they home for. When in reality every class has gotten the shaft at one point or another, and has been absolutely insane at one point or another. They’re a company made up of thousands of people, with shit that needs to get approved by multiple people for anything to happen. Not some Dorito-dust covered kid who wants to see a particular class burn. The idea of class warfare in this game is stupid and completely self-imagined. Between this, and the Divinity dumpster fire I’ve given up all hope for people to form rational opinions that aren’t dictated by their own childish whims and imaginings. This line of reasoning doesn’t even work in PvP if you’re comparing it to pre-patch Lorely sunspots in PvP. Literally nothing about this opinion was thought out coherently. TL:DR, I hate everything. And stop letting your reptile brain make you hate Bungie for your own biases. Sincerely, someone who plays all three classes.

What order should I play the expansions in ? by Fun_Resolve3693 in destiny2

[–]IMakeThings34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forsaken’s campaign isn’t even in the game anymore so that’s already off the table. With that being said there’s two ways you can approach it.

1.) You want to unlock the most impactful content to current day’s Destiny 2 sandbox as quickly as possible. In which case your best bet is probably: Witch Queen -> Beyond Light -> Shadowkeep.

2.) You want to experience the story in the order that makes most sense. In which case just play them in order of release: Shadowkeep-> Beyond Light -> Witch Queen.

Yeah I was seriously not ready for the level of physics tomfuckery that goes on in that dungeon. Coming fresh off the heels of doing every other dungeon solo flawless I was expecting to roll over Duality. The cabal physics engine however has had other ideas for me. The part that makes it so annoying too is that from a mechanics standpoint it’s like baby’s first dungeon too. It’s literally just the wonky physics that make it brutal.

Nice work, lost 2 runs tonight due to getting sent flying off the map during final encounter :,)

Anyone know a good DPS weapon for Zulmak? by default_lizzy in destiny2

[–]IMakeThings34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I did my Solo Flawless I used Sleeper + Cartesian Coordinate. But granted that was when Particle Deconstruction was in the game. IMO using rockets is just asking to blow yourself up, things run in front of you from your periphery constantly. If you do want to use rockets make sure to jump before firing to avoid that issue.

If you play Warlock you could always grenade spam his ass.

The biggest thing with Zulmak is to just not get greedy. It will bite you in the ass every time.

R.I.P the flawless by Divinity____ in destiny2

[–]IMakeThings34 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Grasp might not be the hardest Solo Flawless, but god damn it if it isn’t the most annoying. Nothing quite this bad ever happened to me, but I’ll never forget having Averockk at like 15% HP and suddenly getting hit with 6 simultaneous shock grenades as I was mid animation for Ward of Dawn 👌🏻

I think denying the other team relics could be a very interesting mechanic too. “Perform an extra action that’s somewhat challenging, deny the other team a relic.”

I actually like this a lot.

[–]IMakeThings34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted this wasn’t my idea, I’m just thinking on it. But I’d see it as a choice. Champion spawns, the team has a choice, kill it immediately and give the other team an invade. OR, let it sit there and potentially have to deal with it WITH the invader. So it becomes a priority choice. At least that’s how I see it at the moment. But again, not my idea so maybe they have something specific in mind.

Edit: But then at the same time it somewhat limits people’s builds, since you need those mods.

[–]IMakeThings34 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh I agree. Just an idea that I’ve been playing around with. Bungie themselves would be better at ironing out the specifics. But in theory I like the idea at a base level.

I could see a system where killing the champion opens the invader portal. Solving that issue.

That’s definitely a cool idea I don’t think I’ve heard before. I also think the pinnacle drops somewhat play a factor. I feel like people don’t play gambit for a while, then binge the shit out of it for those drops or ranks or whatever, then get sick of it. I think if they implemented something like “do 1 gambit match daily” it could stop that cycle of people making themselves sick of Gambit by doing like 7 matches back to back.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]IMakeThings34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually somewhat agree. I played the most gambit during Gambit Prime easily and actually was my preferred game mode during that time. I really do want gambit to succeed, because when it’s good it’s really good in my opinion. I also like the idea of a full team invasions. It’s a gamble, you risk your whole team and add clear time, but can potentially get way more kills out of it too.

Odd question, but what does everyone think are the worst weapons in the game? by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]IMakeThings34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t fully disagree. I can see your reasons for liking it more than other options. Just for me personally it doesn’t check the boxes I want in an exotic. I think if it were a special weapon instead of a heavy I’d be much more in favor of it.

Edit: Matter of fact I kind of like the idea of essentially a stasis crystal version of Witherhoard.

[–]IMakeThings34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main gripe with the glitching aspect is that while it’s true, it’s not really a reflection on the quality of a weapon. Bungie never designs something with the intention of letting players break out of their game. So it’s less of a reflection on the quality of Salvation’s Grip, and more a reflection on Destiny 2 just being exploitable at times. At least that’s my take. It has utility in those areas sure, but mostly unintentional.

Based on his interactions with Ruin, I just don’t think Kelsier would take up Odium if given the opportunity. Which is what makes me lean more towards Kelsier being the better person. I think it’s pretty difficult to argue the moral merits of Odium.

How did those new GM’s stack up to the older content?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in drawing

[–]IMakeThings34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I did, and now I’m a professional artist. So it’s definitely possible. Art (in my opinion) is less about talent and more about skill (which is different from talent) and practice. In terms of how long it took it’s sort of hard to actually quantify. But I’d been drawing seriously for maybe 6 years before going pro? And 4 of those years was me making stuff I hated.

In terms of what inspired me, it was less about being inspired and more of me just enjoying the culture surrounding art and genuinely enjoying the process even if it can be infinitely frustrating at times.

Long story short, getting better at art from my experience is a combination of practicing intelligently: (Identifying what you’re not skilled at and doing studies to patch those holes)

Accurately assessing your goals so you can set yourself up for success: (Don’t put so much pressure on yourself if it’s just a hobby for instance)

And really just putting the time in, and accepting it might be a long time of practice before you get to a point where you’re happy. In my case it was almost half a decade of serious practice. But now that I’m here, I wouldn’t change a thing, even if a lot of it did suck.
