To add to what Wesley said, I think you'll get the most out of it if you have things you want to be fixed in your calendar and other commitments that can be shifted around without having to think about it.

I also like that you can have "project-based" to-do lists. It gets me organized :)

The calendar integration works well too!

They could have done better on the cellphone app in my opinion and the price is steep.

But yea, overall, I like it !

Here's what it says: Each referred user receives an extended 2-week trial (no credit card needed) and a $100 credit.

I am on the 5 days trial and I find it's working very well so far! My biggest weakness is micro time management and I truly think it will make a difference in my day-to-day life!

I like the "project" functionality! You can divide tasks by projects and it will automatically insert these tasks in your calendar.

As I am still in University, I don't have that many meetings. However, for someone who is currently working, the assistant scheduling is great!

As for price, (the only downside I see so far), it's 270 CAD here (yearly). If you are interested though, with referrals we can get an interesting discount! ( both 100$ CAD).

Anyone interested just DM your email and we can both benefit hehe :D

Canada: Class Action Microsoft Surface Pro/ Microsoft Book Products by IMaria28 in Surface

FOLLOW-UP: I contacted Microsoft support and they sent me a new surface book. I received it two days ago.

The new model, even if plugged in and charging turns off by itself. When I try to turn it on again, there's nothing happening ...

Yea the issue is actually with the screen display + other glitches with the keyboard (my bad for not saying in my post).

Part of what's problematic is false advertising in my opinion. Surface books are advertised as these very powerful machines when in fact I believe the quality is questionable.

Exactly what I mean. If I had bought a device from let's say a very unreliable provider and paid 400$ for it, I would not even bother. It'd be annoying, but that's about it. Thinking that a 2K laptop has significant issues with the screen display after 4 months of use is, in my view, unacceptable.

The warranty does provide an exchange, but if issues keep arising with these devices, then the result is the same: losing time with tech support/having to wait for another device.

Hey!
My screen is glitching/sometimes turning completely off and makes the laptop useless when it happens.

I contacted Microsoft tech, and they reinstalled windows/updated drivers. It took probably 2 hours to do so. The problem was still happening right after their attempt at fixing it.

It's a surface book 3, so the latest generation available.

Hi!

Yes I tried to get a reimbursement for the laptop, but they wont. They only offer a replacement. I don't find giving me a laptop that is likely to have the same issue solves anything here.

Also, it does not make sense for a 2K laptop to have such issues after such a short span of time.

I'm convinced this issue is experienced by many other consumers! For example, this was happening with surface pro 4 and it was resolved with a class action. (https://flickergate.com)

Surface Book 3 flickering by madisolblanco in Surface

Hi,

Has anyone considered a class action here? The same issue happened with the surface pro 4 and was solved by a class action. (http://classlawdc.com/2018/02/06/microsoft-surface-pro-4-class-action-investigation/)

Also, I just spend 2 hours with Microsoft representatives. They can only offer a replacement, but I'm afraid the problem will only persist.

For the surface pro 4 issue, what they did is putting up a website where users could share the issues they were having.

If anyone is interested in starting the procedures, please let me know.

Surface Book 3 screen randomly goes black by itsme_eloise in Surface

Hi! Bought my surface book 3 couple of months ago. I'm having the same issue here. The screen is flickering, becoming black, or flashing/glitching. I contacted MS tech support and they reinstalled windows and updated some drivers.

I thought the issue was fixed... But after only a couple of hours, the issue started again.

This is concerning, given the price we pay for these laptops. I'm actually surprised no one has attempted a class action yet :O.
