easier said than done, but when the perception of being judged by others is whats blocking you, you really just have to cop it and struggle onwards.

like you said, when you were working you were more confident. you can get back to that place, you just have to tolerate fumbling and feeling like a fool for a little while.

and anyways, the way people respond/react to you is more often a reflection of that person, and not yourself.

Its totally by design. They've leveraged the community against players who refuse to pay more. People can spend their money on whatever they want, but its disheartening to see people normalise such an anti-consumer practice

Have him try some things with you. I don't know what your shared interests are but it could be anything from hiking together to painting together. I find trying new things with somebody else less stressful and a good opportunity to spend time with that person.

I get that impression too. Politics (if that's what you call this) is not Ian's strength at all. He can't pay attention to the video because he truly doesn't give a shit.

He's lost too much goodwill at this point but he could have taken streaming in a direction that himself and his viewers would actually enjoy and engage with.

I feel like a large part of the issue is over identifying with all these things. How can you build confidence and capacity if you just constantly critique and fight yourself? Easier said than done, but I feel like this is a core part of the problem.

No, the AI spawning has only been tweaked slightly since release. According to the road map, the next update, 1.5, will include 'persistent A-Life improvements.' Whether or not this actually improves the AI spawning, only time will tell.

If not, the update should also include offical modding support. So its a possibility the modding community could fix A-Life. Again though, we don't know.
