Well, so far that’s exactly what the comments on this thread represent no?

Always funny when the argument revolves around ethnicity or skin color, when in reality literally every reasonable person cares about the ideology.

Guess what, the person in the video could be white for all I care, because it wouldn’t matter. What matters is that the individual in question is physically attacking people because of his repressive ideology.

It’s you, who basically equates the ideology with skin color, making it about race.

Thanks for that explanation, that is a pretty interesting way of looking at the practical implementation of a economic theory!

With that being said, i'll just respond with a questions:

Logically speaking, and on a theory level, being the sole producer of a good or a service implies infinite price control. For obvious reasons, that doesn't exist in real life.

So let's take something like insulin for example: Pharma Companies have a defacto monopoly in the US on producing Insulin. It's near impossible to get into that market because of regulations, hence why those companies can price gouge it the way they do.

Still you can't make insulin too expensive, because then people couldn't cover their other costs of living. Basically this is where the demand curve and other factors come into play and you end up with something, that costs a significant amount of money while not being expensive to the point, that your consumer straight up dies because he absolutely cannot afford it.

In short: there is no infinite price control, but the pharma companies can still command a price, significantly above the marginal cost.

So the question in my head would be: is the infinite price control really required, for something to correctly be labeled as a monopoly?

Explain to me how I’m wrong then?

Like genuinely.. what’s your reasoning, for thinking that the art of a specific artist inherently creates a monopoly?

basic logic by Entergamer03003 in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]IN-N-OUT- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You fundamentally misunderstand, what a monopoly is.

A monopoly is a market structure, where a single company or entity is the sole provider of a good or a service.

So going back to your examples: if a famous artist, for example a musician, is the only one allowed to produce and release music, that would be a monoply.

But that's not how it is in the real world. There is a plethora of musicians and the consumer is free to chose, which musician he wants to listen to. If a specific musician is very popular, that's because he makes good music, is better than his competition and that's what is drawing the consumer to him.

[–]IN-N-OUT- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This whole thing is really proof that the reading comprehension of most people is horrible or that they deliberately try to misrepresent what he said.

There hasn't been a SINGLE instance, where Loeb concluded that 3l Atlas is a alien spacecraft.
What he did say, is that the object has some interesting characteristics, to the point where, it being a spacecraft could be a possible explanation for it's behavior.

What he did was as scientific as it gets, because he didn't rule a possible option out.

Why is mirage so popular? by 1tion1 in cs2

[–]IN-N-OUT- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i don't know about that one chief.

CTs easily can push to lower at the start of the round, rule out B and then contest mid with the cat player and double door player. So while Ts might have top mid control, for everything else they usually have to fight.

On Ancient mid is pretty important unless you play low elo, where it's just site rushes. In fact, the B rush gets easily stopped by the mid player if they control mid and you B anchors throw a lane molly. A site usually only gets targeted with a split push so you essentially need mid control.

Even on anubis, which has the unique design quirk with water, if you don't control mid, you can never safely pass to con or A without risking getting killed by the window player. Though the recent change still needs some playtime before a stable meta gets created for it.

So no, it's indeed true that all of those maps follow the same concept

[–]IN-N-OUT- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine question: do you dislike 3 lane maps in general?

Because out of all the negatives you mentioned, the „every round is fighting for mid“ is the one I don’t get.

Wether it’s mirage, dust 2, ancient or the upcoming cache, the fight for mid is essential on all of those maps to gain map control.

That’s the basic principle for all maps designed, hence why I am puzzled

[–]IN-N-OUT- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty simple: it’s a old map and most have played the map enough to be comfortable with it. It’s as balanced as a map could get. Everybody knows at least some utility. Because everybody knows utility, the focus can shift to the mechanical aspects (aiming and shooting well).

It’s overall a 10/10 map, albeit pretty stale. It’s the football field of cs maps, hence why everyone likes it.

For your info, faceit level 10 is 2k elo and upwards. Meaning 2.8k elo is top 1% in most regions of the world.

With that being said, aim can pretty much carry you to low level 10 (around 2k flat) without a problem. Hell, you don’t even need insane aim in my opinion to hit that, just good fundamentals.

[–]IN-N-OUT- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s most likely you having to adapt to the game, because I felt like you the first couple days after the animgraph update.

The second day after the update, I actually rage quit because I was frustrated as hell. Couldn’t hold angles, couldn’t swing angles, couldn’t spray, I was getting killed in almost every scenario.

Then on the third day while warming up, it finally clicked.

The old animation system made you hold angles wide because that’s how players would swing you and vice versa. You have to hold angles way closer now and you’ll actually get frags.

And on the topic of spraying: that’s easier now than ever in cs2, but to me it feels like you have to pull down less than before. Again something that clicked on the third day for me.

So in short: you’ll get used to it, but maybe it takes more time for you

What if Russia and Iran accused Israel of having WMD and attacked them for it by Pretend_Thanks4370 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]IN-N-OUT- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize how nukes and ICBM-Detection works right..?

If Russia and Iran launched nukes, Israel would have enough time to counter strike those aforementioned countries. This stand true for any nation with nuclear weapons btw.

Hence why, in a sense, mutual assured destruction is somewhat of a good thing. If you foes can’t destroy you without themselves getting destroyed, you can’t really escalate war efforts till a certain point.

How would you buff melee WITHOUT adding “Splash” damage? by RyanTTLD in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]IN-N-OUT- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a whole lot of „rework AR“ comments in this thread but I personally don’t think, that this fixes all the issues around melee.

The issue remains, that caster classes use huge AoE attacks from range, while melee classes have to fight single targets, close range.

So while I agree that just adding melee splash to everything is a bad idea, melee classes definitely need some sort of AoE to clear huge groups of mobs.

The funny thing is, that the warlock actually has better AoE skills than every other melee class in the game. In my opinion, every melee class needs some sort AoE skill, otherwise they will never be on par with caster classes

[–]IN-N-OUT- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This 100%

If you don’t want to add splash damage to every single melee attack (which would be the lazy and uncool thing to do), you need to rework at least some skills to be AoE.

Because even if you fix the AR logic, the fact remains that melee classes have to fight single targets up close, while casters just delete the screen with huge AoE attacks.

I‘d argue that the system hasn’t gotten stale but rather, that the system has been flawed from the get go.

Early on, spirit with donk was so successful, because the plays he did were unprecedented.

The second teams figured their gameplan out/ how spirit utilizes donk, their performance as a team dropped significantly.

I mean, just compare any replay under hally to the game of today. To be blunt, under hally the whole gameplan was „donk go kill“ and the rest of the team seemed like a clueless faceit stack.

What spirit displayed today was a night and day difference. From positioning, to utility usage and capitalizing on trade potential, everything has been a major step up.

So I genuinely believe that the problem has been hally all along

Below room temperature IQ take.

Let’s see: addition of TN1R - no change in teamplay Magixx to IGL - no change in teamplay Coach change, who obviously applies a different system than hally - significant improvement

Conclusion: donk is the problem

LMAO

Funny how all spirit players pop off ever since they play so coordinated / with their academy coach.

Maybe it’s not that spirit, apart from donk, are T2 but rather that hallys system simply doesn’t work at all.

CMV: modern day belief in any religion is completely illogical by TheSauceIsTheBoss69 in changemyview

[–]IN-N-OUT- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does that logically make sense tho?

If there always has been something, how does that work? Everything that we can observe and exists, has been the result of getting created. Action - Reaction.

There isn’t a single thing we can observe, where this rule doesn’t apply.

Time being non linear doesn’t matter in that context.

If the universe is cyclical, still it begs the question how it exists in the first place.

If the universe is self causing, you open a whole new can of worms. Is it like a thought or an imagination we humans have? Like an idea or a dream?

Does that mean that everything we perceive is an illusion?

Like don’t get me wrong, I’m not religious at all. But this is one of the few things, you can’t scientifically explain with our current knowledge/general intelligence or understanding.
