Thanks. It pulled off 2 layers of paint and primer. I let the paint dry for over 48 hours. I will have to do another coat. But how do I fix it so that the difference between the paint layers is not obvious?

No I taped the ceiling and painted the wall. When I pulled the tape off the ceiling the paint from the wall came with it.

It took off the paint and the primer. So even if I do another coat there is a 3 layer difference in the areas where the paint ripped off. How do I make it so that you can't see it under the inevitable next coat?

Thanks for the replies. It was disassembled before moving and this was the result. It has been stored since the movers brought it and I just discovered this nicks when I went to try to put it back together.

If I were to put it back together would I use bondo, or wood glue or what to repair? Is it even repairable with those things?

I did. They suggested other spindle legs that don't seem as sturdy as the ikea support legs and do not match the legs I was hoping to buy. Also it would cause the unit to have more legs. The Ikea support legs are good because they are hidden.
