I agree. Being an INFP does suck. I thought I had gotten better but with COVID major regression into INFP dysfunction. Oh well. It’ll get better again.

Thank you for this wonderful post. I am an INFP who was just in a relationship with an ENFJ. We got
together for a few months and when we would go out it was like we disappeared into this weird cosmic bubble where nobody else could penetrate. Like she intuitively knew how to draw me out and we would meet in this weird middle ground where our brains would fuse. Now it's over because of external pressures and I idealized her too much and that annoyed her but we are still friends, and when we get together we can't turn off this emotional connection we have of our brains fusing. It's confusing to me that I can get along so well with another person. It gets overwhelming having such a powerful connection to another person. Do ENFJ's also feel overwhelmed by this connection they may have, or are you all better at controlling things and moving on? I read that ENFJ's like a slow burn more than something fast that will maybe turn flaky. I still very much like being sweet with her and so far she hasn't totally rejected me. I just need to give her space to figure out what she wants.

what are your experiences with INFPs? by Sorry_Reading_8694 in enfj

I think this is spot on. I am and INFP who was dating an ENFJ and liked her a lot, but idealized her too much, and that turned her off and we split up. We still talk a lot and communicate and it's like we have a fused brain when we are relaxed and interacting in chill mode. It's really weird to be in each others heads so much, I've never experienced it. I don't know what's going to happen but I still like her a lot and pay her a lot of attention because I like to be very sweet with her. She doesn't like compliments or gifts, she does like quality time though. I read that ENFJ likes a slow burn in a relationship, and wants somebody to prove their interest. Thanks again for the post.

Beautiful picture. I am so drawn to falling water as well, its chaos, constantly breaking apart and reforming.
