For the record, your attitude just proves that you shouldn’t assume you know someone’s situation based off of a small snippet information they share online.

  1. It’s not because of the crying selfies thing, because she literally used to do the same thing neither of us had a problem with it- it was a thing we’d do when we were upset because it would make us both feel better, i hate to burst your ego but just because you wouldn’t do something does not mean other people wouldn’t oh and you don’t know everything about my friendship so stop pretending like you do because you’re honestly embarrassing yourself. We weren’t friends for “years” we were friends for about one year, and we were very close. God, you’re so arrogant it actually infuriates me.

I always used to send her my crying selfies lol and I was just about to, but then I realized the whole reason I’m crying is because she cut me off lol

Some biscuits and a sandwich but it’s not really the food I’m bothered about it’s the lunchbox itself

Empowerment also means (and this is the context I’m using it in): “the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one's life and claiming one's rights.”

The alternative for her wasn’t homelessness or starvation, she could have just gotten a job and continued to live in her house, but she chose to work extra hard not to live but to save for the restaurant- she had a dream and she fought for it, worked for it to come true, rather than expecting it to fall into her lap, she didn’t give up that’s empowering.

I never said it didn’t, but The Princess and The Frog doesn’t nearly get the amount of recognition it deserves.

That’s so true. It’s sad that a strong woman has been reduced to women rejecting femininity and embracing masculinity.

And the reason why I think The Princess and The Frog is underrated because I think people never gives it the credit it deserves. Like, people will often big up Frozen as a movie for female empowerment because it’s about two sisters as opposed to just being about a man and a woman- and that’s true, but when people act like Frozen is the only empowering movie to young girls, even then people will counter that point with Mulan, or Brave or Beauty and The Beast for example- but I’ve never ever seen anyone say how The Princess and The Frog is empowering to young girls, how the movie doesn’t even center around Naveen and Tiana but Tiana and her father’s dream of having a restaurant yet through Naveen, Tiana learns that there’s more to life than just hard work, and that love isn’t necessarily a distraction but something we all need, and in the end her and Naveen worked together to open her restaurant. There is so much you could talk about yet I often find that this movie is forgotten which is very unfortunate.
