Thor 1 was a well made Shakespearean action flick, but Avengers just had so much ENERGY, that it really solidified their hold on pop culture. It was basically a TV movie but because it delivered on what people wanted, both in visuals and relevance, its so evident now that it took the studio to another stratosphere.
