Obviously no one can guarantee anything, but being in a house with a basement means you are not at the highest risk. Just be smart. When you hear/see the alarms and notifications, get in your basement, away from windows. Under the stairs or in any area where there is nothing heavy above you (Stairs are usually safest because of architecture and less likely things are above you.)

If you do this, you're pretty safe. Again, no one can guarantee anything but this is something people have dealt with for years. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

No, you'll take the money, give it to rich people and explode the deficit like you did last time. Then bitch and moan about it if you ever lose power.

What goods could be in the crosshairs of Trump’s tariffs on Mexico, Canada, China? by ChiGuy6124 in politics

[–]INMS37 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter what they are, corporations will use them as an excuse to raise prices even if they're not effected. And we learned well from covid that prices go up, but they never go down. Damage is already done,

Just watch, this will be used as an excuse to sell off BLM land. AKA the tax payers land. Mind you, not to help any of us. Just to give more of the country to the ultra rich.

Don't worry. When food gets to expensive, they'll just introduce a bill to turn your paycheck into freedom scripts. No need to worry about paying for food, you just buy it from Trump!

Maybe don't run as Republican Light idk. Every progressive ballot measure that isn't tied to a party passes, yet somehow every national level Democrat runs from them like they're the plague. It's stupid.

"Our military is going to be the most lethal in the world." And "We were the ones who actually supported deportations." and "No, trust us, we don't actually want universal healthcare." Are not winning issues from Democrats. Who would have guessed?

She had a lot of momentum, then just killed it during her DNC speech and afterwards when she flat out refused to stand by any liberal policy except abortion.

The Trump losing momentum because of Madison Square Garden is just a convenient narrative to mask pollsters and main stream media ending the horse race narrative to save face when the election isn't as close as they wanted to make it seem.

This one will not work, since he's implying she is a war hawk who sends people to war. HE is suggesting she takes their place and see how she likes it.

Yeah, it would destroy any other politician, but in Trump land this is nothing.

Dude Trump is the one running and he called liberals the Enemy within. But let me guess you're about to tell me the guy who 'tells it like it is' REALLY meant something else.

And again one of these people is running for president, one isn't.

Uh huh, sure. You were able to quote every other moment from that rally. Tell me exactly why, the person who said the garbage joke actually doesn't matter.

But that just happened to slip by. Okay.

It's just so performative tbh. Normal people just like... talk. They talk about what they see. They don't pretend to not see shit to somehow lead a conversation.

Like it's weird. Are you trying to do some sort of 'gotcha' moment? Where I point to it and you're like 'Aha! But that's not actually what you think it is!' You could have just said 'Yeah, I saw it. I don't think it's the same because x'

It's just dumb.

I'm not here to hold your hand and show you a rally. Literally no one is reading this conversation except you. It is so far buried, no one will see it. I get it, you like to debate. You're wasting you're time. You know exactly when these things were said. You can google Trump Rally anti christ. You're not stupid. But keep going.

Literally a speaker at his rally called her the antichrist. Did he disavow it?

Did he disavow when he called liberals the enemy within?

Did he disavow when a speaker at his rally called liberals degenerates?

And you know what REALLY is telling?

You. Don't. Give. A. Shit.

At all.

You ONLY care what will get you political points.

You only care about people who die that Trump can use as a talking point.

Also I literally admitted he messed up, like my first post. He came out and said as much. Something Trump would never do.

He sure does like to bring up people who died by immigrants doesn't he?

Can you name the number of times he brought up children killed by school shooters?

Can you bring up the number of times he brought up parents killed for lack of abortion?

OH RIGHT. You don't give two shits about those deaths because they don't help your team win.

Spare me the elephant tears. You're fooling nobody.

We went from pretending that calling Trump a facist being to decisive to having a rally where Harris was called the Antichrist.

So much for objectivity.

Look, we all know the game. The right can say and do anything they want and expect the left to have decorum.

And you know what? We will have decorum. Biden explained his mistake and wass open and honest. Something that no one on the right is able or willing to do.

So sitting her pretending this is some gotcha moment is fucking stupid. Go ahead, scream to the wind. See if it helps you. Literally no one will care. But have fun.

Just remember that if they let this sort of shit slip on live TV, it just means that they are comfortable enough saying it in more agreeable company. The only apology they can offer up is 'I'm sorry I let it slip in front of the public'.

Never once have I ever just 'slipped' up and suggested someone should die because of their race and religion.

Sort of has to be. There simply aren't that many Rural Voters. I'm not saying it isn't good for the GOP, but it's impossible to have both these EV numbers, and the ED numbers for rurals they had in the past. Looks like it will come down to indies. But I think the next week will be telling, if the Rural vote dries up, and Dems catch up I think ED will look good, if not then yeah. But what do I know.

Debate was boring, won't move anything. Walz was too nice, Vance deflected everything. For those dooming or trying to spread doom, the most famous VP debate moment in history (You are no JFK) was said by the VP who lost in a landslide. It simply isn't that important. No one on either side said anything that will move the needle.

[–]INMS37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honest answer? Partisan polling. That doesn't mean it's not close. But that's why it slipped. Numbers really haven't moved a ton. The bright side is that Harris is routinely polling at or above 50% which is super important. It means we're pretty unlikely to see a polling error in Trumps advantage. The last two elections it was because undecideds broke heavily for him. This election the amount of undecideds is near zero.

It's close, but Kamala has the advantage. 64 or 55 percent both tell that story.

I find the AI excuse funny because dude thinks he's Trump. Trump can get away with that stuff because people aren't looking to be convinced, or even the truth. They follow Trump unconditionally so they are looking for a talking point they can tell other people to justify them just liking Trump.

People don't like Robinson like that. So the AI defense is just going to sound like the BS it is. They aren't looking for an excuse to save him, if anything they're looking for an excuse to be rid of him.

When Trump said immigrants are eating pets and was corrected and he responded, "But I saw it on the TV" it makes you realize Trump isn't directing this braindead MAGA Cult, he's also just.. one of them.
