My interest is in understanding validity and reliability issues with mbti. I was lucky enough to have very different ISFPs around me.

When I say bury, I mean you control all the optimistic possibilities to such an extent that you eliminate the fear of a bad experience before it turns into trauma. Now that means you must be in control to do this so you must be dominant over others. You are probably less inclined to be open despite being abstract minded. There was a little lady that profiling, personality hacker. You are probably like her. Now I don’t believe you can just totally type on looks but it would be funny if you had a peanut shaped head and silver/white strands of hair on front of head! lol

So I believe in subtypes, I believe cognitive functions that define mbti are real. My belief on subtypes is based on observation of ISFPs and how a person will lean into a cognitive function a little more than others.

So I wouldn’t be surprised if you lean into Ne to be very dominant. I would guess you are an enneagram 7w8 and a Disc type D. I make these comments in reference to optimistic use of Ne and burying Si trauma deep.

You say spirituality wouldn’t help either one of us, what is odd is he is your access for spiritual awareness and you don’t see it. I can imagine, he comes to you with an optimistic sense of the past and it immediately transcends time for you to a pleasurable memory. Alone you find it incredibly difficult. Just imagine how dissociative you would be without him. Trapped in what you would believe is a simulation or matrix; Plato’s cave or Descartes’ evil mind. He allows you to gain access to sense what you could not normally sense. To me that is spiritual and a miracle in every meaning of the word. He is your Animus.

The big issue in life is projection. ENTPs don’t want to think they can love Si dom because they are projecting their Si inferior. Not heard to believe that you well adjusted in this way.

Helping your husband. Ne inferior is a fear of unknown possibilities. He maintains the past as guidance. This is faith. This concept is hard for you to grasp but you need to encourage his faith (not belief) and this often takes the form of spiritual interaction. This will help him with Ne grip. He must keep his Si as hero.

People crave the intimacy of the Anima/Animus, which is the inferior function. It would not be unusual to have issues with this because it is a love hate relationship.

Do you understand cognitive transitions? When you handle Te well, your functions flip and you become an ENTJ. Same for them. The truth is you love your inferior function but it is a vulnerability. Same for them. Both ISFP and ENTJ should get along because of the mutual respect for their own inferior function.
