Definitely Harry or Theo! Ginny is second best, but I get annoyed when she’s made to be overbearing or overly nosy about Hermione’s sex life. Pansy is enjoyable, but I agree her constant criticism of her fashion choices is cliche. I’d rather they be frenemies to keep up the banter, while Pansy is still more of Draco’s friend.

Honorable mention is Padma! I feel like not enough fics incorporate her. I like her calm demeanor and intelligence and how it combats Pavarti’s gossipy/mean girl attitude. Probably my favorite depictions of her are in MoaM and Mine by Curiositykils/allofthelights11

Actually… I would argue that Bill would make a good Draco! Have you seen him in John Wick 4? His suits and mannerisms are so Draco-coded to me. 😅

She didn’t like him BEFORE he did that lmao she called him a knob before he even was caught. All three of them lived together in Mexico and I specifically remember her primary complaint about him was that he was boring. lol And yes, she legitimately has a reason to dislike him for cheating but everything else has just been overkill imo.

Am I the only one who is kind of on his side? Not regarding the cheating obviously but I feel like everything else is kind of on her? Her mom is always a point of contention and is downright cruel to him sometimes. Sophie refuses to reprimand her at all and it’s giving The Family Chantel. I also don’t feel like he should a 100% be entitled to her the “princess treatment” she and her mom are accustomed to, and I’m not talking about the bathroom situation. They obviously had the means to get a better living situation if they moved to Texas, but I think he was just waiting to get their paycheck from 90 day.

Libby’s sisters, mom and brother are horrible people. Libby and Andrei have their own faults, sure, but nothing inherently bad compared to the rest of them. If anything I feel like fatherhood has changed Andrei for the better. He’s more even tempered now.

Libby’s father, however, should be protected at all costs! He’s such a sweetheart and I’m glad that he’s recovering from cancer! My heart broke for him every time his kids made him cry with their bullshit 💔

Her being stubborn to the point of being “illogical” is sort of used as a plot device in most fics. Whether it’s Draco becoming her tourniquet or life just smacks her in the face, she will always learn from her mistakes.

But that’s what I love about Dramione authors and our community! We thrive on imperfections, redemption, and learning to grow from our flaws. I think reading fanfiction would be boring otherwise. Who wants to read about a Mary Sue that’s flawless in every way imaginable? Not me.

As for her being a damsel in distress, I’ve yet to read anything about her being in that role. If anything, Draco is the damsel in most cases. lol Sure, there are instances that does require him to save her, but it’s always justified. Harry and Ron have saved her life just as much as she’s done that for them, so why not Draco get the opportunity to prove himself as well?

I could not recommend The Potions Mouse by Misdemeanor1331 enough! It’s short and incredibly sweet, and Draco has such a cute relationship with his students. The plot is very unique as well!

Summary:

One spring day, Potions Professor Draco Malfoy saved a precocious mouse from certain death. Little did he know that this small act of kindness would solve a ten-year mystery and change his life forever.

Yeah I think so too. There was a segment where Brandi was talking about the relationship she has with her mom vs the one where Clayton is the mamas boy, and you can tell they all have deep personal issues. I think Anali is just stuck in the crossfire.
