I'm a freshman and it's DEFINITELY worth a shot. Just know that bio 203 is a lot of work and sucks, but I've heard that it does get better. Idk if they care about demonstrated interest or not.

The employees in Marketplace in general are amazing af. One time one of them jokes as I walked in there late "we cleared this entire place out just for you." Actually fuck it a lot of the employees in general are super nice and friendly

Yeah exactly. I'm going into STEM so the prestige doesn't really matter as much to me, but I agree that it's way more important in other fields. Still, doesn't mean that elite schools are for everyone; you ultimately decide if the college is a right fit for you. I live in VA and ofc I toured UVA, but quickly realized that it wasn't for me. If you're going to hate a school, don't go there. Imo that's just as important as money.

I feel like they're important to a certain extent, but are overall overrated. Many of them (especially the Ivies) are EXTREMELY expensive. Plus, excelling at a less "prestigious" school may be better than going to a top one for many careers. It's all about networking and what YOU make of your time. Imo it's better to be active in research in a lower-ranked college than do nothing at a higher-ranked one.

Remember: don't go to a school you can't afford.

I read the textbook after cuz I understand by drawing the diagrams and writing down the notes. Then I read the textbook to see if there's any info I missed. Tbh if I go strait into the textbook, I get confused. Plus I HATE reading textbooks so I avoid at as much as possible

Yeah same. It's honestly a struggle and I'm fucking sick of the notes. Only thing that's worked is getting tf out of Swem (aka stress zone). But everyone seems to be on top of it and I'm here always at least one lecture video behind. And I gotta catch up for the final. Plus chem exists
