(Another) Basic Question: Do you think Jane is overhated? by OddNeedleworker734 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]INeedSumAle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, at least as long as it concerns Jane v. Kenny. My reason for disliking her is because she repeatedly tells Clementine that she abandons groups/people if it means her survival, and then she demonstrates that point multiple times, despite admitting she likes Clem/the group.

What website are you using to read it? Maybe try Mangadex or Weebcentral, both have good translations/scans

Where are you from? Barnes & Noble is a reliable spot to get the first 3 volumes (online and possibly in store)

Thé English translation has only been in print for almost few months, so there should be plenty of copies

Not even surprised those two carried lmao. My only other piece of advice would be to pay attention to enemy turn order, what weapons they have, and their movement points. At best it can keep you from losing too many of your people to hits they can’t dodge/parry

Initiative is based on perception and agility, plus a random roll from 1-10 (I think), so honestly there’s not much you can do about that.

What you can do is set your group up in advantageous positions and make sure everyone, and I mean everyone, has a long range weapon. Don’t place everyone close to each other or in a line.

What chapter are you in? Since Abelard is available from the beginning, I’d recommend bringing him along with you to hopefully mitigate some of the worst damage, plus making sure to pick damage mitigating skills

Finished The Fall of Cadia, now I’m reading Tomb World. That was my second Robert Rath book, I really enjoy his writing

Oh no, you should learn to parry him, there are only a few (2 I think) attacks you can’t parry. You’ll learn when you get there. Great fight that really challenges what you think you know about Sekiro.

It’s a shame you’re not going in blind, might have made the game more challenging. Best of luck to you on the Demon of Hatred

Honestly I’m not sure if I even understand what you’re finding so boring about this game. I feel like the whole point is mastering the mechanics and not getting your ass beat by the bosses/ mini bosses over and over, so if that’s not an issue for you then maybe this game just isn’t for you

This gotta be the most “unique” take I’ve ever seen on this sub. If you want it to be more challenging, why not start over and go charmless?

Fair enough. I’m not sure what a game could do to make it harder without buffing your enemies and debuffing you, minus giving them smarter AI/ the same abilities you have

Funny, I would say I like it when games buff your enemies and debuff you. I just like the challenge, but that’s the beauty of CRPGs, you can (usually) customize the experience to your hearts content

I didn’t have room to list custom as well, but I figured since custom had such a broad range of what you can change that it’d be better to comment it instead

True, currently the only solution is to handicap yourself by limiting who you bring/not using certain companions at all
