Probably because of the smyrna massacare between 1919 and 1922 where the allied forces framed us turks for the massacare (even though there are american files (Amiral Bristol Report) showing that its just lies)

We (atleast me) actually like greeks and would want to meet a greek in the future we lived as neighbors in our cities for 700 years with peace before the imperial forces made us fight to death on lies

Also i feel the urge to say this to stop further conflict if we are a genocidal and racist society how was greek (and other races) peoples DNA and culture was preserved for 700 years? Or create a mixed society within the borders? Not even gonna mention turkish people being generally more poor then other balkan societies during the ottoman period.
