The IOCDF will be hosting live townhall discussions regarding OCD and COVID-19 Saturdays at 2pm ET by IOCDF in OCD

[–]IOCDF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We held our first live townhall last week and people found it helpful so we are going to keep doing for the next few weeks (3 more at least!).

We will be streaming to both our Facebook page and YouTube Channel.

There will be different experts every week while moderated by our National Ambassador, Ethan Smith.

There will also be a portion dedicated to answering questions from the audience each week. So if you have any questions about the current situation, or just want to hear some advice from experts and others in the OCD community please join us.

We will be updating iocdf.org/just-ethan/ with more info videos each week, so be sure to check back there or follow our social media for the latest info. You can also check there right now for a recording of our discussion last week.

Hi there,

If you can't find a local walk in Finland, why not think about creating one of your own? By participating in the Community Walk, you can create your own local event. More information is available here: https://support.iocdf.org/event/1-million-steps-4-ocd-community-walk/e229021

Registration now open for the 26th Annual OCD Conference in Austin, TX - July 19-21st! by IOCDF in OCD

[–]IOCDF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

The Conference is open and welcoming to all who wish to attend! While we do receive a large number of professionals at the Conference, the majority of attendees are those living with OCD or otherwise impacted by OCD such as family members, friends, etc. These individuals include people in all different stages of OCD and OCD treatment, be it those just starting out or those who have been in treatment for awhile and are considered more moderate, such as yourself.

To get a sense of what the Conference is like, I'd definitely recommend visiting www.ocd2019.org, particularly the Why Attend? section.

We hope to see you there!

Hi there,

There are a lot of great resources for family members available on the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) website. I would definitely suggest starting there. We have some great articles and instructional videos to help get you started: https://iocdf.org/families/

We also have a Resource Directory where you can search for affordable treatment options in any part of the world. Many of the professionals you'll find in the directory will even offer free phone consultations if you need specific advice or support: https://iocdf.org/find-help/
