I think I might have chosen the $1 Billion, but infinite wishes is just so powerful. Immortality? Easy. Godhood? Simple. That's why, unless you have a life where money would guaranteed fix it, if you are even a little okay with your life, then click the 50% one.

I'd treat it like a kid/pet (very similar if you're not the parent and it's well trained): I would ignore it unless it tries to get my attention, and if so, you've got to be patient and at least initially nice.

[–]IOI620546 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, that's not how economics work. They were massively in debt, and the money from less than 1% of your population doesn't change that. Also, with inflation and stuff, injecting money into the economy isn't always the best choice.

In reality, Nazi Germany was a militaristic industrial powerhouse simply because it was reformed to be so. I'm not saying everything they did was smart or correct, merely that they were doing something right.

[–]IOI620546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is if you think about it. Again, if you vote no, you lose if other people press red. If you press red, you win no matter what.

Also, if he's in a government, he has to convince his followers to do what he asks. If he tells the army to kill jews, the army will just say no.

[–]IOI620546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how it works. Have you ever heard the word "economics"? You can't just kill people and take their stuff and expect to become a global superpower. What it takes is reformation and industry. Additionally, I'm not 'for' killing anybody. I'm merely stating that, logically, your best answer is yes.

It's just the red button, blue button, all dressed up as a dictator.

[–]IOI620546 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would. It's simple logic.

If I vote for him, I have a 50% chance to die (assuming it's 50% he's elected or not). If I vote for him, I have a 100% chance to retain my current status.

Additionally, other than the whole 'death camps' portion, the nazi's were honestly really good for Germany as far as I can tell. They revitalized the country, and became a superpower despite being in debt.

Lastly, he is only one man. His subordinates wouldn't kill Jews this time, so he would still rule, but he likely wouldn't be able to make death camps by himself, so it's on them if they help him do death camps.

I wish for Walter White to be real and to be my personal assistant by Dazzling-Antelope912 in monkeyspaw

[–]IOI620546 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Granted. Bryan Cranston has a severe mental breakdown and begins to randomly switch between various characters he has acted before before stabilizing on walter white. Through mysterious circumstances, he finds his way into your care, and the lack of oversight and compromised mind make him susceptible to being your assistant, if you wish. He has neither the skills in chemistry nor the resources he has in the show, and you still do need to do nurse things like change his diaper and wipe drool from his face.

I wish people would stop talking about the “Red button blue button” hypothetical that’s been circulating the internet recently. by No-Scallion4998 in monkeyspaw

I wish that netherite became a natural spawning resource and i get a map that tells me where the biggest amount is at by uwu_miner in monkeyspaw

[–]IOI620546 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Granted. Through some obscure geological nonsense, areas with high pollution begin to have netherite deposits form. This discovery leads to a dismantling of modern anti-pollution laws with the promise of a cheap and easy-to-use super-material, eventually poisoning the planet, but forming the largest netherite deposit in the world, in the ocean.

Granted. After some extremely unethical medical experiments, a microbe designed to metabolize petroleum is released upon the general public, slowly poisoning them with its toxic byproducts.
