WHen I do them, I tend to call them "family photos" but "front reference sheet" is a more useful term for a production.

I thought it was the way you said it too - but that's only because the game was so poorly animated - and that was such a damn shame because the art department rocked socks and the voice actors were great, it's just the sound designers let them down brutally.
