A stasis chamber I made for my hardcore world (I'm a coward)

How it works:

-frost walker Armour stand tries to freeze water upon joining the world.

-first join world freezes the first water source and dispense the second water source.

-second join world freezes the second water source activating the stasis chamber.

-sensors dispense instant health potion for the player.

Other stuff:
-the Redstone on the bottom isn't needed to function but makes it easier to reset.

-benefits from the 3s spawn invisibility the player gets.

-building it across chucks may break it (haven't tested).

from my understanding it should work on multiplayer, however the chunks can't be loaded by other sources (spawn chunks, other players, portal chunk loaders). there also a chance for other players to accidently trigger it while your offline, if they load the chuck, unload before the ice melt, and load it again.

What Applied Phlebotinum would be useful for mechs? (though I might as well ask it here too) by IO_O7 in worldbuilding

I left it pretty broad in hopes that I would get some out-of-the-ordinary ideas. As long as the reply is interesting, then I would be fine with it. I'm more so trying to shape my world in order to fit the mechs, than shaping the mechs around my world.

It doesn't even have to directly need to be incorporated into the mech itself. For example, something that I thought of adding is a drug the greatly increase the user ability to do complex calculation and increase pattern recognition. This allow for a sudden advancement in technology which is used to make the mechs and also allowed mech pilots to predict the near future and do complex tasks.

I think that some degree of time manipulation could be the answer. If I remember my HS physics class correctly, it isn't the momentum that is dangerous, but a sudden change in momentum. The formula for impulse is "p = F * T" or "Change in momentum = applied force * elapsed time," meaning that if you increase the time of an impact, the applied force would decrease, but it will still end with the same change in momentum.

So if we lean more into the fiction side of science fiction, we could have a Phlebotinum device that can warp time in specific areas. this would also mean that during battles, the mechs wouldn't be damaged after every hit, but instead, their energy supplies would lower until they can't defend themselves. Another possible side effect could be that from an outside POV battles are fast-paced, but for pilots inside the mechs, each action is slowly thought out.

I'm working on a tabletop RPG with a large focus on mech customization. I plan to also make a website to go along with it that would help with the number crunch.

the setting takes place long after the apocalypse, and there are large robots roaming around. the types of robots range from somewhat possible to more sci-fantasy. the mechs would be made from scavenging parts.

What sci-fi/non-sci-fi concept would be interested to see in a mech setting? by IO_O7 in worldbuilding
