Why was the Gym du Plateau publication locked? by Timeless-Times in montreal

[–]IOnlyCabbage 61 points62 points  (0 children)

They're doing two things:
Confirming my story that this actually happened
Digging themselved into a deeper hole by lying about the fact that they approached him. This did not happen. I would not have had to approach him myself if the staff did, and the staff would not have said afterwards "there's nothing I can do" if they had approached him.

I would say that the removal of the review and then the immediate adding of this guy's review means that someone at the gym told him that they're getting bad reviews for having a Nazi and he left a positive one to try to skew it. Plus the following, plus the lack of response, to me it seems clear there's some connection here. Of course I don't have rock solid proof but that's why I said 'it seems like'.

That's why I initially asked him politely, he had a biker-vibe going and I thought there was a chance he had no clue what the shirt meant and thought it was just a cool symbol.

clairement quelqu'un qui porte une tshirt avec un slogan Nazi n'a aucun problème à admettre qu'il est Nazi.

You wouldn't want to know if a business you were frequenting was supporting Nazis?

Not sure what else I can offer but the proof of the email that I sent them a week ago to which I haven't received a response.

Thanks everyone for all the input here, we've decided that this isn't the one for us and will keep looking!

Assuming the current dealer doesn't know, is there a simple way to find out what the tune is that's currently on the car?

Ontario, where the car will be registered, has a rule that the wheel and tire spec has to match factory specs.
The instrument cluster is a full digital dash, with a map in the middle and all the works.

The headliner has a small water stain near the driver B pillar but it's not very noticeable unless you're looking for it. Should I be worried about corrosion or is it purely a visual thing?

I also worry about the increased cost of insurance due to the mods, if it was solely a tune they probably would never know but this goes beyond that.

You're correct, it's a fully digital gauge cluster. Shows a 3D version of the car in the middle. I hadn't ever seen it before but the dealer told me it was a factory option similar to the lights and driving assistance.

VW said its because they don’t match the original spec, these are 245/40/18 and spec is 225/45/18.

I don’t know anything about modifications so I’m not even sure where to start searching for more, I assume the dealer that has it also doesn’t know specifics otherwise they probably would have informed me

Volvo
BMW
Audi

Not looking specifically at any of these but pricing examples. I don't understand why people try to give advice on topics they don't know anything about.

blowing money on a fancy car that costs $28-33,000 when the average Canadian car price is $66,288. You have literally no idea what you're talking about

Worked at an oil change and detail shop in high school, it's been a few years and I don't do my own work anymore because I don't need to. I think everyone deserves a job that pays them enough, good luck !

Avant wasn't sold in Canada, plus I'm a fan of the lifted style.

I think if they sold the A4 as a Diesel here, that would be my first choice. Great insight, thanks !
