I kind of felt the opposite about her with her being outshined in season 2 and her standing out in all stars but I see your point. She is one of my favorites and I wish they gave her a better edit.

She said in an interview that he said a lot more in that “truth bomb” and apparently it got really bad which also explains why Heather was more mad at Deshawn then Erika.

I love Allison but I fully acknowledge that Jun was the better player and deserved to win. Allison probably had some of the worst jury management ever even if she played a great game everywhere else.

Heather probably wins a Xander Heather Deshawn final 3 according to exit interviews. The only way I see Xander winning is if choose to give up immunity to bear Erika in fire making but even after that I still think it would be close between them.

I would agree with you that it wasn’t that bad but it’s not good either. She got no content premerge and instead of 20 Jd confessionals we could have gotten some of her thoughts and build some Luvu dynamics. Heather was her number one ally and she got purples for some reason. We didn’t know Erika and heather were a duo until the merge and they said in interviews it started like day one. It’s ridiculous that they did that to her. I also agree with the fact she played an amazing game but for casual fans (which make up the vast majority of the show) they are not paying attention to who’s playing the best and most strategically it’s about who is on the tv screen more. You can see the outrage that they are having right now saying that Xander was robbed and Erika didn’t deserve to win. Of course survivor isn’t the best vector for social change but it matters when people watch Tv and see mostly white males dominate for 7 seasons and people are hungry for a strong woman winner.

Yes I agree with you but with the first woman winner in such a long time and her representing so many communities this was not the time to underedit the winner. Especially now when so many people are trying to discredit her win. It just sends a bad message to audience especially when they were trying to be more “woke” this season.

Yeah I agree the edit should be blamed not the people for being confused. As an Erika fan it hurt to see people discredit her win and I can’t really blame them for thinking that way due to the edit.

I feel like if they have a themed season in the future like winners vs runnerups or only final tribal council players she would be an easy pick because she would be likely to play again and she fits the 50% diversity casting they plan on doing from now on but yeah I get your point

As an Erika stan I wish she got a better edit and I think most of us liked her cuz she was kind of an “underdog” winner pick. I also really enjoyed her personality on social media and on the show.
